Dr. Sophy Ann Jancich, MD

First, she knew nothing about my medical history. Actually asked me, “So where did you have cancer?” Then she proceeded to tell me I needed chemo-/which I don’t. Her notes showed that I had pancreatic cancer. Did NOT—had ampullary cancer. She is fired!

Took my dad to her office on last week for his cancer to see what the next step she was very rude no information was giving it like she was in a rush she like over the test and ask us what she do for my dad . We went to see Jancich to get advice on the next step she was,in the office like 5min we did not get any information Ithe worst doctor you can go to get help with cancer.

i went to Dr Jancich in 2016 for breast cancer, i was given chemotherapy as a treatment, Half way through my treatment my cancer had shrunk and at the time of my breast removel only dead tissue was found, Im greatful for Dr Jancich for findind the best treatment for me, thank God today i'm cancer free, i would highly recommend her and ochsner.

My dad's cancer was repeatedly missed by doctors at Ochsner and by the time he found out he had cancer, it was too late. Dr. Jancich sent my dad to do radiation and then told us "maybe immunotherapy" then the next thing we know she calls hospice without discussing it with us. Left us believing there was hope for immunotherapy for a month (1 of my dads last months on earth). We had to drag my bed-ridden, skin and bones father (who was also dry heaving) to another oncologist just to find out hospice was the only option. The other oncologist seemed to be confused why we were getting a second opinion so close to the end, well it was because Dr. Jancich would barely speak to us and let us know there were no more treatment options. My dad had been unable to eat for weeks when he saw Dr. Jancich, yet she had absolutely no concern. When he was too sick to go to radiation, she had someone from her office state that she would with hold the IV fluids that were stopping him from dying of… dehydration because of him missing radiation. Punishing a dying man is down right evil and hateful and I am sad for anyone who gets cursed with this evil person. I will never go to Ochsner again because it says something very bad about them as a hospital to have this devil working there.
