Dr. Spencer David Dorn

I give this a 2 for potential; However, only regarding my personal experience it would be a rating of 0. I had planned for the appmnt by getting his office fax # and giving it to my other dr (for med records). I show up to Dorns for my appmnt in late Feb. It was the first and only. He ran no tests. He had no interest in asking my other dr. to fax med rec. (other Dr. refused my prior request because he said they would have them sent as soon as they call to ask for them) He asked me what I could remember of the tests that were done two years ago. I have no med. training. I expected him to request my priors test results or test me again. I never expected him to do absolutely nothing, that couldn't have been done via telephone conference. I expected more. I expected ..... him to at least look at my prior test results...Now, May 7th, I have been told by my referring dr., that he still hasn't received the office notes from dr. dorn (on 2-28) and therefore is unable to help me. I have left… messages with his secretary. What purpose has my visit to him served (besides a three hour drive one way)? What was accomplished? I felt that I wasn't worth his interest and that he already had my dx prior to meeting me due to the "pre-existing" fibro (I told my husband before we got there, what I thought Dorn was going to say. When I was right, I cried because I have been so sick for so long and at the time just lost 20 lbs due to gastro issues). I have never received such a lacking of professional responsibility. His office has already filed my insurance and received payment, yet my dr that sent me to him has yet to get his notes so he can know how to help me. I fought with my insurance for months so I could see him. I then waited months to get an appointment. I saw him and he did nothing and looked at nothing. Now I am still waiting and is it for nothing? Can I safely and comfortably accept his recommendations? He is recommending strong medication that is dangerous, yet he never even examined me or looked at my med records. Frustrated and disappointed ...?. The last thing he said to me was that he was faxing the notes right away because it was important for my dr to understand the monitoring that would be beneficial while taking the meds. AND I AM STILL WAITING...Avoid this man unless you are a student, or have already had a confirmed Dx. I believe he is smart and has potential; however he lacks necessary responsibility for his patients health.
