Dr. Spencer Lauren Franchi, DO

Terrible bedside manner. She doesn’t listen to her patients, cuts them off, rolls eyes, and treats everyone else as if they’re beneath her. Also, either she’s not very intelligent or has better things to do like care for her dog while on the clock! So maybe if she could focus more on patient care (her profession) and getting her patients medication dose correct, the first time, then maybe she could be a decent health care provider. I had to calculate my child’s dose and bring up my concerns to the pediatrician at follow up appt. Not to my surprise, I was right, she severely under-dosed the prescription my child was sent home with. Very rude, unprofessional, and apparently not as intelligent as she attempts to carry herself. Somebody really needs to humble this “doctor”. Wouldn’t recommend her at all. I would trust a nurse or the general population before leaving the fate of myself or a loved one in her care. Do better or change to a profession in which you’re actually passionate about… because clearly you’re not in this profession for the patients but in it for your ego or status!

I ended up going to the ER because I have a extremely bad ingrown toenail. It was close to Christmas and no podiatrists were open and I needed help as soon as possible. A woman came into my room and asked me what was going on with my foot and then Dr. Franchi came in on her phone while I was telling the assistant what was going on. Since she was on her phone I had to repeat what I just said and she looked at it for a second and said "Yeah, you need antibiotics." and I was like is that it? She said yes and I had to stop her and ask if she could do anymore more. She claimed that I do not have an ingrown toenail and just an infection but it clearly is an ingrown toenail. I told her that she needs to trim it correctly so it will stop growing into my foot. (I have huge infected flap of my flesh sitting over my nail) She kept telling me that she cannot do that. "We don't do that here" right, but if I came in with a gunshot wound or had a knife wound they would operate very quickly without… thought. They can't trim my nail though. The whole time I saw her she had this vibe that I just wasn't smart because I didn't go to med school and she was superior. If I knew all I was going to get was antibiotics from a doctor at the ER I would have saved my money and went to urgent care. She told me that if I take the antibiotics it would all clear up. There is no possible way it can clear up on its own and it has not gotten better. I think maybe because I went there for something so silly sounding as an ingrown toenail she just didn't take it seriously but I am in a great deal of pain and I have a horrible infection. I would not recommend at all. I'm not sure if she's only an ER doctor but if she actually has or will have an office of her own one day avoid at all costs. Find someone who is older and actually knows that they are doing.
