About Dr. Spencer Guinn
Dr. Guinn is a graduate of Jonesboro High School. He attended Undergrad at Tulane University, University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Continuing his studies, Dr. Guinn went to Tulane University for medical school. After completing of his residency at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, he returned to Jonesboro in 2002.
Following his …residency, Dr. Guinn served in the United States Army in Iraq as a Combat Surgeon in the 1st Forward Surgical Team most of 2003. He again deployed under Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom in 2006.
He is also a member of the Jonesboro Police Department SWAT team, where he serves as Medical Director and a Tactical Medic. He has lectured widely on Tactical Medicine and Combat Surgery, and assists with the education program for the Arkansas State Police, Craighead County Sheriff, and the Paragould SWAT team.
Outside of work, he is active in cycling, hiking, mountaineering, yoga and running. He has three daughters, and they are members of St. Marks’s Episcopal Church.
