Dr. Spencer Shirl Olsen, MD

I saw Spencer Olsen at the la mesa clinic and I honestly felt like I was being pranked. I thought to myself, there's no way this guy is a real Dr. I waited over 3hrs in the waiting room and the exam room because he was "out for lunch" according to his staff even though I had a 1pm appointment. He is extremely rude and hostile. He sarcastically asked me idiotic questions such as "well why does your shoulder still hurt?" and "what do you mean your injury doesn't feel any better?". He made me feel so uncomfortable, unwelcome and completely unheard. I even had to ask him why he was behaving in such a rude way and why is he talking to me like he has a problem with me. He said I was in "pristine" condition even though 3 mri's and an emg study proved otherwise. It felt like I was on a hidden camera tv show and at any moment the joke would be over and someone would pop in the room and say "gotcha!". This man should not be practicing and everyone should avoid US healthworks in la mesa CA. (… aka concerta urgent care). He was so rude that at the end of his pathetic Dr appointment he literally just scooped up his papers and walked out of the room with even saying goodbye or shaking my hand or even looking at me. Worst experience at any medical facility in my 34 years!

The doctor easily dignosed my injury and provide me with not only a rundown of what to expect during my recovery, but included a timeline of when I would realistically be able to return to full duty. The medical assistants were also great and everyone tried their best to get to the patients in a timely manner and was very apologetic if there was a significant wait time.

Dr. Spencer Olsen Has an extremely poor attitude towards his patients. Every time that I have seen Dr. Spencer Olson I’ve waited an unreasonable amount of time to be seen and when I was seen He told me how I should and shouldn’t feel with my injury he didn’t ask me how I felt nor did he give me any viable options to handle the pain he just said the way that I’m feeling with the injury he thinks I have I shouldn’t be feeling. This doctor has poor diagnosis will not order additional testing and has the worst bedside manner of any doctor that I have seen in my 35 years
