This dentist missed a major issue - which is incompetent care. After consistent, timely check-ups and several in-between visits to complain of pain, this dentist â??suddenlyâ?? found a dental problem requiring significant work. This is the same dental problem two other dentists (seen within a week of the â??discoveryâ??) said required years to grow to that level. Both second opinion dentists, one a Baltimore Top Doctor, said no competent dentist could have missed this. I was extremely upset by this discovery of a serious dental issue and once I found a dentist whom I trusted I had an emergency appointment to begin extensive and expensive care. I then confronted Dr. St. Cyr who continued to claim this issue was caused by my care negligence. My records disprove this. This discovery also coincided with Dr. St Cyr office changing dental insurance plans, which no longer covered my full care. I was never without dental insurance. I then refused to pay out of pocket for the visit of the… discovery. I should have filed a malpractice suit as I paid over $1000 (after insurance payments) in emergency care to my new dentist.
