Dr. Spiro Theoharakis, MD

Dr. Theorakis is one of the most amazing doctors I’ve ever met in my life he basically save my life he’s a wonderful kind patient and very understanding therapist!! His secretary Vicky is also very wonderful she calls me right back and they both truly truly care about their patients a highly commend that the spirit of the reckless with his kindness and all he has done for me my whole life and I like to commend Vicky commend Vicky for being so patient and kind with me!They are both truly amazing and I think them so much thank you density

Knows his stuff, he’s almost a mind reader, and guides you in the right direction. A true pro id recommend him to anyone in need of this kind of assistance

Incompetent jerk who does not listen to his patients. Will lie about your diagnosis. Dropped as a patient due to hospitalization while in his care. Have never encountered this problem in my life. Family member attempted suicide while in his care and later actually went through with it he did not care in the least. In it for the money nothing else. Terribly unethical at every step.

This Dr. comes across as a benign gnome. During my daughters struggle w/ alcohol , we saw him. He ended the session calmly, and softly saying , you're going to die. My daughter got up, left crying. I too began crying, feeling hopeless. Both my husband and I are in the medical field, no novices here. What is lacking in psychiatry is their lack of psychological training. Dr. fear does not instill change. Please refer to the plethora of literature on this topic. Rather, it freezes the limbic mind, instills helplessness, and loss of hope. Perhaps , saying, "we need to problem solve here, let me help. You traumatized my daughter and myself. How dare you !

Greeted by secretary informing me they do not take insurance. I already knew this, not a problem. Asked what I was coming for. I said anxiety. She asked what specifically I was coming in for. I felt uncomfortable discussing these issues any further with a secretary. She said it was "necessary" because "She takes the intakes". I said I'd rather discuss it with the doctor. She said, "Ok, I'll have the doctor call you". 2 weeks go by and no call. I call back. They say it's $450 for visit and the next .

Dr. Theoharakis is a kind, compassionate professional. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. His staff is courteous and prompt in returning calls. I have always gotten an appointment in less than a week. The doctor has never kept us waiting seeing us at our scheduled appointment time. Moreover, Dr. Theoharakis has always followed up when necessary and responded to calls with questions in a timely manner. It is evident he truly cares about his patients.

Highly skilled psychiatrist who has excellent rapport with patients and provides a thorough evaluation. Does not participate in insurance plans.
