Dr. Sridevi Manne, MD

She spends about 3 seconds with you (if that) and doesn't go over your syptoms at all before she determines what is wrong with you. I went in with an extremely swollen throat, cough, congestion, and just feeling awful. The nurse took a strep test and left. Then Dr. Manne came in and before I said anything to her, she stated "this is a case of allergies" and prescribed me claritin. Mind you, I already take claritin everyday. When I voiced that to her, she laughed at me and went into a long speech about how her kids have allergies and this is a "classic case of allergies".... She was rude and did not let me speak about how I was feeling at all. Two days later my throat was so swollen and I was throwing up from coughing so bad- I went to a different walk-in and the doctor there was shocked that I was not treated with antibiotics sooner. I had bronchitis! It could've been dealt with in the first place if Manne listened to anything I was saying. I contacted the hospital about how poorly I… was treated, not only as a patient but as a human being, and they said I was "treated as should've been" and "still responsible for the bill." Ah, yes, nothing like being seen for 1 minute total and treated like absolute crap but STILL HAVING TO PAY FOR IT.

Dr. Manne spends 2 seconds listening to the patient, and then launches into a 10 minute diatribe where she tells you everything she knows. She only pauses to say 'okay?' but doesn't actually give you a chance to respond or nod. She has quite possibly the worst bedside manner of any doctor I've visited. Her diagnoses and recommended treatments have occasionally been amusing to other doctors I've visited when the issue hasn't been resolved. I will no longer go to the walk-in clinic for fear that she will be on staff.

When I first when to Dr. Manne's office she was very caring. I am a mature woman who, because of moving, had to switch doctors. She listened to my issues and gave me credit for my life long health experiences. However, in the past several years I notice her questioning me on everything. It's as if, no matter what the problem, she wants me to start over from square one on any type of treatment - even when I explain I've done this, had that, etc. It has come to the point where I dread going to her for even the most simple thing. Also, it is getting increasingly difficult to see her as her office hours have decreased.

I have moved a lot in the past and gone through a lot of doctors. Dr. Manne is one of the best I have worked with. She spends time both diagnosing the physical issue and asking questions to help fully understand the problem. She has always had an incredible depth of knowledge and a very casual way of delivering that information.
