Dr. Vegiraju is not my mom’s PCP. He saw my mother at Seton after she fell for the second time in a few months. I feel he pressured me into agreeing to send my mom to a nursing home. He was in a hurry to discharge her from the hospital, wanting to send her to a Rehab just one day after she was admitted for a sacral fracture. He also vehemently counseled me not to let Rehab keep her beyond the days paid for at 100% by Medicare, scaring me with stories of facilities that used up the days covered by Medicare only to have nothing available when the patient needed it later. My mom transitioned from Rehab to long term care 11 days ago and has received absolutely no therapy whatsoever. I’m not expecting the extensive therapy she received in Rehab. But she should receive the level of care she would have received had I taken her home from rehab. A little over 3 weeks ago, my mom could walk and now she cannot even stand. I now feel as if I’m stuck because I’ve already submitted the… application to Medicaid and given notice at her apartment complex, which is handicapped accessible while my house is not. If you trust this doctor, good for you. But I feel totally misled, manipulated, and betrayed.

One of the best doctors I have ever seen, although his office staff is lacking courtesy. If you call to make an appointment dont get discouraged from the secretary, she seems to be very un professional.
