10/10 experience. Dr. Ayyagrai helped me tremendously when I was originally diagnosed with a chronic illness. Phenomenal Physician and exceptionally courteous bedside manner. Very holistic in her clinical approach. She treated me as a whole person.

The recent spate of negative reviews appall me. I am a former patient, and I am not generally one to intervene on review sites, but I feel a moral obligation here, both for potential patients and Dr. Ayyagari. Don't be scammed by the one-stars. A casual perusal will reveal a person or family with a grudge. Dr. Ayyagari is exceptional as a physician whether in acute situations or when determining a complicated diagnosis over time. She does not coddle, and she does not burden our health care system by catering to drug-seekers, malingerers, or those in denial. That is because she is a professional and behaves accordingly. I don't know what the issue is that brought out all the vitriol, and neither do you. Doctors are hamstrung from responding out of ethical and legal boundaries, so it is imperative that people are responsible and honest regarding the experiences they've had and the motivation for their choice in reviewing. The standards here should be higher than they are for… reviews of cheap electronics on Amazon. There are doctors out there that don't merit their position, of course. It's just that this is not one of them. I know that it's difficult for anyone to deal with major health issues and that sometimes people have to deal with difficult emotions. This is part of being human; it isn't an excuse to act like a child or engage in a smear campaign. Take a deep breath, and when you write about health care, consider that it is actually a contribution to our collective health. Treat it as such.

Very terrible experience with this doctor.

If your loved one is assigned to her, I would ask to change doctors immediately. Horrible bedside manners, and no empathy for patients or their families. Avoid her at all costs. Please.

This hospitalist in NWCH is a very bad doctor. She is RUDE, TACTLESS, very unbecoming of a doctor. She has a louder, bigger voice than the patient or family member. She acts like she is a know-it-all "God." Would not give the patient or family member a chance to choose for themselves, because according to her, "I know what's going to happen to you and nothing will help change that." I don't know what kind of medical school she graduated from but they didn't teach her bedside manners. She goes about her rounds likea zombie, inhumane and unfeeling of people's sufferings. She probably was the one who rated herself a "five" in this review. No one in their right mind would do that knowing the kind of hospitalist she is. NWCH did very poorly in hiring her to be part of their institution. She gives them a bad rating by leaving patients and family members a bad taste in their mouth. Here's to hoping that someday Dr Ayyagari finds herself in a situation where her parents, husband or children's… health is compromised, and the doctor who looks after them is as rude, uncaring, and unprofessional as she was with me and everyone that she'd come across her as a hospitalist either in Hilo, Arlington Heights or wherever else she practices in the future.

Who gave the 5 stars? Ayaggari? This doctor is not competent, will not do everything she could for a patient and will push for hospice right away for elderly patients that she treats in the hospital.

I will give a zero if there was a zero. This doctor has no bedside manners nor genuine concern for her patients. She gives up on a patient as soon as she sees the patient is elderly and with pre-existing conditions, and will immediately push for hospice. She refuses to listen to family members about their concerns and refuses to implement the patient's directives. This doctor worsened our parent's condition, by doing nothing and withholding his regular medications and available procedures (we know this because as soon as she got replaced, our parent got the help he needed), but Ayaggari's inaction just hastened his passing. Stay away from this doctor.
