Dr. Srinivas Kesava Janardan, MD

I was referred to this office by my Mercy Health PCP last summer, and I simply don’t understand how a modern medical office can still operate like one from the 1990’s. They do not have EMR’s, nor do they offer a patient portal. They do not call you w/ your test results, but rather SNAIL MAIL them to you (about 2 week waiting period). They will tell you your results over the phone but you have to call them first. The phone nurse, Deb, always sounded irritated w/ my questions. When I called w/ a question about SIBO testing, she didn’t seem to know what SIBO was?!? Dr. Janardhan had a pleasant bedside manner and listened well, but I wasn’t a typical patient (symptomatic but scopes & tests normal). Turned out I was severely anemic, and they didn’t tell me until the results came in the mail. In the end, I went back to my PCP and got a second opinion from a Spectrum gastro MD. Better office but same attitude! Ultimately I told my PCP what I thought was going on and where I needed to go from… there. I got myself an iron infusion, consulted w/ an RD to build a prescription diet and met w/ an allergist who confirmed I had histamine intolerance. I’m mad that I paid as much as I did in co pays only to diagnose and treat myself.

The man is brutal!!

This man was brutal.. My pain so great I couldn't breath. He wouldn't stop even though the nurse begged him to. Totally without empathy, will never go to him again.

I saw Dr. Janardan once and he did mu EGD. At my consult he seemed to care little about my symptoms and focused more on my psychiatric past which was completely irrelevant. The EGD with dilation went well, he came into my room after I woke up and said my scope was normal and that was that. He did not offer me any further insight or treatment for my GERD. He had a generally cold and rude demeanor and it seems this is just a job to him.

I wasn't given much sedation at all....it was very painful and never have another one again!! It has been very traumatic to me and i still have not stopped crying. I was frozen with pain on the table and was never asked if i was ok or if i wanted him to stop...i couldn't talk cause i was crying so hard!!!
