Dr. Srini R. Ayinala, MD

I started seeing Ayinala after hospitalization for esophageal ulcer and treatment for GERD. After an allergic reaction to an over the counter product, he kept insisting on a yearly colonoscopy even when he admitted it wasn't needed and there were no issues once I discontinued using the product. I finally had to tell him that I would not consent to the procedure before he relented. I had a change in insurance and needed a PA override to continue getting my acid reduction medication; however the doctor's office would not respond to my calls or to notices from the pharmacy when I needed my prescription refilled. After three weeks without medication I was in constant pain and started calling the office twice daily and leaving messages. I got no response until I threatened to contact my attorney to look into malpractice suits. That same day, I was told to use an over the counter version of the medication (there isn't an over the counter version according to my pharmacy). I was… already using another over the counter acid suppressant at levels more than 4 times higher than recommended on the package, and was using over the counter liquid antacid in addition with no relief. I continued calling the doctor, left the information on what was happening with the "nurse", and all I got was a receptionist returning calls hours later repeating the same instructions. In the end, I changed doctors and would not recommend Ayinala to anyone. He seems more interested in doing expensive and seemingly unnecessary colonoscopy procedures than in actually treating acute conditions or in dealing with insurance issues.

Dr Ayinala's office staff was very unorganized and had no idea of my (patient's) medical history and condition. There was lack of proper coordination, poor patient care and customer service.

The Doctor's office staff was very unorganized and not attentive to patient details. They are unprepared for handling customer service or patient care. They did not review patient files before calling and scheduling or advising patient for next steps.

Preoccupied and asked me what surgery I was there for. I had to remind him of two years of my medical history. He doesnt explain the findings of surgery to any detail and is somewhat condescending when talking to you. I dont get a good feel that he is aware or cares about helping patients feel better. Procedure went well with little pain afterwards. but explaining things about the findings of surgery is nil to none. I felt like I was wasting his time as he is so preoccupied. Very disappointing after waiting so long to be seen and then no explaination and what little was given was as if the findings were not important. Staff at Gwinnett Medical were cold , disinterested and not friendly. I have good insurance too. You'd think I would get a little better treatment!

He made us wait about 30 minutes in the room before coming in. He had two other poeple following him and didnt even spend 3 minutes with us. He didn't listen to the fact that I was in pain and just wanted to find out the cause of it. He seemed like he was in such a hurry. No sympathy or courtesy to listen to his patient. Would not recommend him ever to anyone.

If your appointment is at 3:00pm you will wait a good 1.5 or 2hours to be seen. He is never prepared when it's time to be seen. He is very rude. His nurse Tracey never returns phone calls. Don't waste your time with this doctor. He completely does not care about his patients it's more like a paycheck for him.

He was late as crap but once he came in he was great, intelligent and understood me and gave me an understanding before he left...staff at Braselton are all so awesome

Like other, do not go to him. He is not personable, at all. Find other doctors on here who have positive ratings and can testify to a good patient-doctor interaction.

Do not like this doctor he don't have patience to explain any info he's always in a rush. I thought I was the doctor instead of the patient what I waist he will never see me again.
