irresponsible and unethical doctor!

Im a retired army veteran who while in the army received a combat related injury to my coccyx which caused me to have pain so saver I was passing out at times. I had surgery in Fort Campbell Kentucky to have the coccyx removed. At the time of the surgery I was told by the doctor at Fort Campbell the pain in my coccyx area would be better, the same or worse. I had no idea the pain could get worse than it already was, but after the surgery the pain was so horrible I was seriously thinking of suicide. The doctors at Fort Campbell sent me to see Doctor Periyanayagam for the purpose of trying a Spinal Infusion Pump, or what is most commonly called a Morphine Pump. A test was done to determine if the pump would work, after which the original thing was implanted in to the lower right side of my abdomen. The pump by no means gets rid of all the pain, but it does reduce the pain to a level I can tolerate and have a normal life. Thanks to Dr. Periyanayagam I have a new life. It has been well… over fifteen years since the first pump was implanted. I am now on my Third improved pump which allows me to give myself an extra dose of morphine if and when needed. Ive found Dr. Periyanayagam to be a wonderful compassionate and caring man who will take time to listen to your problems and give an honest answer. I would recommend Dr. Periyanayagam to anyone!

I had been in pain for 5 years over my lower back. When I had finally received permission from a doc too see a Neurologist, My insurance sent me to Dr. Peri. I had seen him for the first time and he explained to me everything that was going on and what could be done. I was scared but after 5 years of pain, I was ready to have surgery. I thank god that I was sent to such a great doctor. It's been three weeks now and I am doing great. I haven't had any pain and did some walking yesterday and it went well. I would recommend Dr. Peri. He is caring, and made sure I wasn't in any pain and was very helpful with everything.
