Extremely rude and pushy with poor bedside manner. Disrespectful and unkind. Acted as if treatment was a chore.

My primary care physician referred me to Dr. South due to some intense pain I had in the lower right side of the abdomen. Dr. South listened to me patiently, answered all of my questions, and explained the available options. She operated on me recently and she made sure I was as comfortable as possible before and after the surgery. Dr. South is not only very knowledgeable but also compassionate and professional. I highly recommend her.

Excellent skills and a wonderful bedside manner. Couldn't be more satisfied. She was at my bedside first thing the following morning after surgery. Always takes time to listen and inform you without rushing.

Initially, I gave Dr. South a 5 rating, because the surgery seemed to be a success, however I wish I had waited. Several weeks after my surgery I noticed my incisions were getting itchy and oozy, I repeatedly went back to her office for 3 month. She kept saying I don't believe it is an infection, just give it a little more time to heal, even though they were getting worse. I finally asked for a referral to another doctor, who diagnosis my serious staph infection at my 1st visit, but it took 4 additional visits & 2 rounds of heavy duty antibiotics to get the infection under control. Before all was said & done the infection ended up spreading to my legs. All in all, this surgery has left me with unnecessary scars on my legs, unnecessarily bad scars on my abdomen, additional medical expenses and the loss of 2 of my major work accounts due to missed time.

I was recently operated on by Dr. South. She is a wonderful surgeon. She is compassionate, caring and thorough. I would highly recommend her.

After my surgery, it was a nightmare getting an appointment to see this doctor. She continuously kept throwing her nurse practitioner on me even after the nurse stated she had no idea as to why I was still on pain. The office scheduled me with the doctor not once but twice and each occasion the doctor cancelled only after I had driven/arrived for the appointment. The last visit, I left in tears and pain. Since then, I found a doctor who has established why I was in pain and is treating me for what could have been an end to my life.
