Dr. Um grew up in Utah and graduated from the University of Utah with BS in biology. She relocated to Seattle to attend dental school at the UW where she received excellent training in dentistry. She also completed her post doctoral residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Utah Medical Center where she received extensive training in oral surgeries, IV sedation and other general dentistry. She returned to Washington State to join the public health service, where she gained extensive experience in preventive and children’s dentistry.
A life-long learner, Dr. Um attended over 675 hours of continuing education classes to master the latest techniques for her patients and she continues to attend the classes to provide the most up to date techniques. Her goal is to build the long term relationships with her patients and staff upon trust and respect and create most relaxing environment for the patients. Dr. Um, her husband Mark , and daughter Skyler are active in their local church and enjoy volunteering in the community as well as in different parts of the world. Mark and Skyler love to go swimming and play soccer in their spare time. Dr. Um is their photographer and put all the precious moments in the pictures. They have a cutest dog named “Lilly”.
