Dr. Stacia Gilda-Marie Lagarde, MD

In 2017 this provider chose not to listen to me for 6 months. After 6 months, I demanded she do something. Less than a month later I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lymphoma that had metastasized to my spleen, and the bone marrow of my spine. I was a sole parent to 4 young kids and faced the reality of losing my life because she ignored me. By the grace of God I survived 12 horrible rounds of chemo. When I saw her after my diagnosis, she offered to grocery shop for me if I needed her too. She knew she messed up. I hope she learned a valuable lesson through it. I know I learned I had to be my biggest advocate. Had I not, I would have died and not been diagnosed until my autopsy.

Narrow minded and combative. No people skills.

This "dr" was not at all sympathetic to my needs. She is the only dr I've ever seen that was so rude, inconsiderate and all the way around just didn't listen to my needs. She had zero compassion for me as a person/patient. I will not be back.. I recommend that no one seeks her as their provider. The woman never even smiled or "tried" at all to be decent to me. She was cold cold cold cold... I think she has issues and because of that.. she is abusive and rude to her patients!

Worst office staff I have ever encountered, and I've seen some bad ones. When you call you're routed through an automated service - NEVER a real person to talk to. When you leave a message no matter urgent they can't be bothered to return your call until the next day, if at all. They don't follow through with pre-approvals or authorizations in a timely manner, forcing you to call over and over again to get anything done... and if they refer you to a specialist, they refuse to communicate with them directly. They will let your prescriptions expire and often make you wait days or even a week or more to call in refills, carelessly compromising your wellbeing. They blame their negligence and awful communication on the patient and make you feel as though the problems you are having obtaining a basic quality of care at this facility are your fault, not theirs. Outrageous and completely unacceptable. Dr. Lagarde seems competent but completely oblivious to the problems that her staff are… causing and the extent of the problem. Bottom line: if you want frustration, frustration and more frustration go here. If you want to be talked down to and treated with disrespect by an office staff that ignores you and tries to offload their job responsibilities onto the patient then go here. If you want to be blackballed for being a complainer when you're just looking for a basic standard of health care, go here. If you want to receive respectful and competent care, then go somewhere else and avoid this practice at all costs. This practice is a nightmare of incompetence and it's not worth the aggravation.

This doctor was very thoughtful and thorough in how she approached me. I was very comfortable discussing issues with her.

I found her to be verbally abusive, mean spirited, cold, brutal, sarcastic. Her manner was demeaning. No patient deserves to be treated in this way. It is like she is bitter and angry and is taking it out on her patients.
