Dr. Stacie Katrina Moore-Bowens, MD

I love Dr Stacie!!! She truly listens and shows great compassion for you. Taking the time that is necessary for one to ask questions and explain "why" they are there. I give Dr Stacie a 100% and I just wish that her support staff was as efficient. It's very difficult to get a return phone call from staff!!

My husband and I both had appointments with this doctor. She took more time with him. She put his Rx's in herself. When it came to my appointment I waited over an hour to be seen and things seemed rushed during the appointment. I did go over my Rx's with her, but she said Amy would put them in that afternoon. Amy said they would be in by 5 PM that evening. Several days went by and my local and mail-order pharmacies still did not have the Rxâ??s in process. I called and left multiple messages. No human would call me back until I left a message for the office manager. Then Tiffany called and said it could take a week to put them in. I went over 6 Rxâ??s with her and specified number, dosage, and noted some to be written for brand name only. She waited another day or so to put them in to a local pharmacy. I ended up with three miss-written Rx's. One substance I was allergic to, two were written for generic instead of name brand, and one was for 6 pills instead of 12. Then they wrote an Rx… for refills for a nebulizer (which I don't own) instead of an albuteral inhaler. The pharmacy made me keep this last Rx, since the package was open, being I thought I was opening my inhaler. I refused some of the other Rx's and they changed the one I was allergic to. I called to complain to the Office Manager again. He said Amy would call me early that day (It was 9 AM). She called when I was on the phone at 4:25 PM and left the message that I must call her back by 4:30 PM. Passive Aggressive, Incompetent Behavior. This, coming from a woman who was afraid to take blood from my husband and me during our appointments. I ended up with multiple wounds on both arms. She called two coworkers who she called the big dog and the heifer to take my blood. I had insisted on a butterfly, but they tore me up trying other means first. We are cancelling all future appointments!!!! There is no professionalism.

I love Dr. Moore-Bowens, however I'm concerned that there are some people in the office who aren't as loving and caring as she is. It's hard to get staff members to return phone calls after THEY have left a message for me to call so they can go over test results with me. It takes DAYS and a threat to call the office manager on voice mail before you actually get a call back. It's sad that I'm seriously thinking about leaving this wonderful doctor because of staff members NOT doing their job! I don't think ANY patient should have to wait almost a week to have someone call them back.

Dr. Moore-Bowens is most definitely the most caring doctor I have ever frequented. She really tries to get to the bottom of a problem and take care of it. Her compassion is amazing - something I have never experienced from a doctor before.

She is an excellent, caring, and well qualified doctor who spends enough time with you so that you know you are getting great care.
