Dr. Stan Arnold Messner, MD

My son-in-law recently saw this doctor at the walk-in clinic. (Getting him to see a doctor in the first place is not an easy task.) my son-in-law has been having severe back and shoulder issues that was being treated by a chiropractor with little to no results. We worked very hard to get him to agree to go to this clinic. Dr Messner did not listen to this patient, cut him short and told him it was probably nothing more than a pulled muscle. Prescribed him a muscle relaxer and steroids.and, sent him on his way. His mannerism toward the patient was rude, condescending and completely uncaring. He asked the physician to consider x-rays or a possible MRI as this had been going on for a long time and the doctor refused! What has happened to showing care and compassion for your patients? I pray that you are seriously considering retirement Dr Messner, as your professionalism has flown out the window. I will never refer anyone to this clinic and especially not to you.

I have been seeing Dr. Messner for many years. He's a good guy by nature, so good bedside manners come naturally for him. He has always diagnosed and treated my issues correctly and effectively and I feel he has done his best to order tests and then treat my issues at the time of the appointment rather than forcing me to schedule additional visits. He or his nurse have occasionally called to follow-up a prescribed treatment, which shows their caring nature. I feel he is a good doctor and a good man and the comprehensive practice offered by West Wichita Family Physicians makes him a great choice for me as my Primary Care Physician.

Dr. Messner professional and seemed to care about my situation. He has a good bedside manner. Solved my problem were another Doctor at another office did not.

I appreciate the open communication with Dr. Messner. He is now the physician for me, my husband, sons, daughter, grand kids AND son-in-law. I think that says it all...

Dr. Messner was the physician I saw for a minor medical condition. His bed side manner was atrocious. After the injection for numbing, he asked if I could feel anything and I said yes, but he kept pulling and tugging...painfully pulling and tugging. He didn't greet me, didn't make eye contact, and was overall a real jerk.

We have been with Dr. Messner since he started at WWFP. He is AMAZING at diagnosing a problem. Very up to date on the newest and best drugs, and never hesitates to send us wherever we need to go (specialists). many times I have asked HIM to treat me but he sent me to a specialist because he felt it was the right thing to do. I've never been unhappy with my HMO because I know my Doctor has my best interests at heart. I'm hoping he is around to treat my grandchildren!the Sunderland Family
