Dr. Stanley Robert Dennison, MD

Dr. Stanley R. Dennison, Pain Specialist I am a C5-C6 quadriplegic for 24 years, currently hospitalized due to complications that require careful management of my condition. My physiatrist and neurologist, who are highly experienced in spinal cord injuries, have prescribed medications necessary to prevent Autonomic Dysreflexia—a life-threatening condition that causes dangerously high blood pressure spikes, potentially leading to stroke. Despite their expert recommendations, Dr. Stanley Dennison routinely overrides their prescriptions. Dr. Dennison has demonstrated a concerning lack of knowledge about spinal cord injuries and their proper management. In every hospital I have ever stayed in, my care has been managed by specialists such as neurologists or physiatrists who are well-versed in the complexities of spinal cord injuries. Dr. Dennison’s approach is in stark contrast; his arrogance and dismissive attitude toward both my specialists' expertise and my own 24 years of lived… experience are deeply troubling. Instead of adhering to the carefully crafted treatment plan designed to protect my health, Dr. Dennison has placed me on an excessive regimen of medications that have rendered me drowsy and pose unnecessary risks to my kidneys and liver. This overmedication is not only inappropriate but also harmful, given that I am not in pain and have no need for his interventions as a pain specialist. Dr. Dennison’s refusal to defer to the expertise of my neurologist and physiatrist is unacceptable. His arrogance and inability to prioritize patient well-being over his ego make him wholly unfit to manage the care of someone with a spinal cord injury. If his actions result in harm to my health, I will pursue legal recourse to hold him accountable. This doctor needs to step aside and allow the professionals who understand spinal cord injuries to take charge of my care. The safety of patients like myself depends on physicians respecting both their colleagues’ expertise and the unique insights of their patients. Dr. Dennison has failed on both fronts.

I was dismissed from Dr jones by Dr Dennison because I did not want to schedule a procedure on a area on my neck never done with out going over the updates MRI and with out speaking with Dr Jones who has handle all of my visits and procedures from day one. I am upset a Dr would dismiss care of another Drs patients when they have been compliant in care and made a reasonable request. I never met Dr Dennison before that day. I had been a patient of Dr Jones for many years

He did not understand the extent of my pain and how to realistically handle it. He also had me have an MRI of my neck without explaining what it was for. By that time, I was so upset I forgot to ask him. He has an MRI machine is in his office. Sounds like I helped to pay for it. I would not recommend him.

You might get an appointment right away, but that should be your first signal that there is something wrong with this practice. If you have time to wait either out in the heat (one time, by the time they let me into the bldg., my temperature wass 103 degrees and I have MS) or inside the office for hours on end just to see the Dr. for maybe 15 minutes and get an MRI with equipment that Dr. Dennsion owns. Well then, perhaps this is the place for you. Oh and don't expect anyone to return your call, their mail boxes are always full so you can't leave a message and if you speak to them in person about why they haven't returned your call the answer will be that they don't have time to do so. My goodness-is this the way a doctor's office shows compassion for his patients?

Hours of Waiting, spends little time with patient!!

I was excited to have found this office and they were able to see me the very next day. But we waited 3 hours the first visit and 2-3 hours every visit after. Dr D was initially very nice and understanding but after a couple of months he bullied me into a procedure that was unnecessary for my diagnosis. I cancelled the procedure and the very next day they were calling me to verify my address, to send me a certified letter dismissing me as a patient. (I have had a second physician verify that the procedure he was bullying me into was completely unnecessary) Dr D didn’t even have the courage to talk to me face to face and tell me his reasoning. If you don’t agree with his treatment plan, he will outright dismiss you without warning or cause. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone! His office is after money and billing your insurance with unnecessary procedure’s and MRI’s. He even has an MRI machine in his office so he can send you right over. Convenient at first but in the end it’s… just a money making machine.

Dr Dennison started out to be great doctor even with wait times up to 4 hours. Then he did an injection which gave me no relief so when I went back for the follow up we discussed doing another one in 6 weeks I made my monthly appt which then got cancelled. I called the office to find out why it got cancelled to only be told we can not tell you why but you will get a letter. Never revived the letter called back and spoke to the office manger Brittany she said she would find out and call me back. It has been 3 weeks multiple calls to her and messages left for her and I have not gotten a call back. This is so upsetting. I only wish Dr Dennison would read his reviews and reach out to me. I am sure from what I have written above the office knows who this is.

This in human of what he wants to call himself a "DR" is the most verbally abusive doctor I ever worked for, I worked for him over 1 years ago, and apparently he still is an a hole. he would come in at 8 and while I would be on the phone with blue cross rep, and start calling me a low life not good enough employee because he didn't know why he hadn't been paid for 5 years. the BCBS rep reported him while she heard him screaming at me, to her commanding supervisor. he steals from medicare, he overworks documentation, I could go on.
