Dr. Stanley Craig Gilbert, MD

I ignored these reviews and gave Dr. Gilbert a chance, this was my first mistake. It was clear from first contact that he was disinterested in giving me a clear treatment plan. He did not ask me if i had any questions. I think he assumed that he sufficiently scared me off. I had to call the office manager the next day to make sure I understood the details of the treatment plan. I came in for my first appoint for Botox. The first thing that his assistant said to me was 'Did the front desk tell you that you are late?". I said no, because I was not late, it took reception 10 minutes to check me in. Then in the office Dr. Gilbert told be to be sure to come in on time. I said again, I was not late and he sternly said "I don't want to argue with you" in a very dismissive way with a needle in his hand ready to poke it in my forehead. This made me very uncomfortable. This was part one of a two part treatment. I contacted the office manager again to report this experience. Then I got a… letter from Dr. Gilbert telling me he will not continue my treatments. I did nothing to this Dr. except to expect a professional care experience. This is very unsettling. Here's the capper, the 2nd appointment in the process was for dermal filler injections. He did not advise me on prep for it but I understand it can be very painful. It was the office manager who recommended, after the fact, that I buy a facial anesthetic to apply 90 minutes before the procedure. I can infer from this new info that Dr. Gilbert was going to allow me to have a painful experience if I did return. I do not recommend this Dr. Gilbert. I have no comments on the clinic because I'm treated well by my dermatologist there.

Dr. Stan Gilbert is rude and confrontational just like his unprofessional staff. He lost a good patient.

If patients are informing Dr. Stan Gilbert that his staff is rude and confrontational, then he should do something about it.
