Dr. Stanley Gottlieb, MD

I called and spoke to Dr.Gottlieb because I had suicidal thoughts last night and thought it would be a good idea to get a professional opinion and because my primary doctor who prescribed me anti depression/ anti anxiety meds ten days ago wasn't available to speak to at the time and she had referred me to Dr.Gottlieb almost 2yrs ago anyway. His response to me was exactly this, "you should call the doctor who prescribed the meds to you because i don't comment about medication prescribed by other doctor and besides, i dont have any availabilityl." He was VERY cold and seemed if he could care less! and when i pressed him further for help of any kind, he only got shorter with me! I told him that, "the dr. who prescribed the meds to me, IS the doctor who referred me to you nearly two yrs ago and that i was a client of yours for about three months". Again, he was annoyed and told me to call her and repeated he has no availability anytime soon and hung up on me. This is exactly why people… with mental disabilities don't get the true help that they need and even take there own lives sometimes.
