He is not honest and won’t confront issues.

Dr. Graves is a miracle worker. I was able to walk the same day of the surgery though another surgeon had told me I’d be on crutches for 8 weeks with his approach. I had severe club toes on my left foot that had progressively gotten worse and worse for years until I had constant pain when walking, especially downhill. Hiking, my favorite pastime, was a thing of the path. The only pair of shoes I could wear was a very large light weight breathable pair of running shoes fitted with special orthotics. A decade ago, at 66, I’d had a bad experience with toe surgery on my right foot, which took four months before I could walk without crutches or drive a car. Now, at 76 years old, I’m thinking the healing time would be even longer and more disruptive of my life, and my wife and I had recently started a business which required a lot of walking. Finally it got so bad I had to act. I got to Dr. Stanley Graves, referred by an excellent foot surgeon I knew in Vail, Colorado. Dr. Graves was very… personable and explained very clearly how he would take out three knuckles to shorten the toes, and then straighten the last sections. He not only showed me on an X-ray, but drew me a picture of how he would do it so that I could even walk the same day. I was thunderstruck, but sure enough, on the drive home from the outpatient surgery I walked in and out of Costco with my wife and then drove around in a cart with my foot up on the basket to help keep the swelling down. I wore a special, quite comfortable, sandal-like shoe, and used crutches at home for 3 days for partial support to ease the pain, then walked everywhere normally with the sandal. I only needed two strong pain pills immediately after the surgery, then a strong anti-inflammatory for some weeks afterwards which kept the swelling and hence any pain down. It’s changed my life- amazing! I can’t recommend Dr. Graves highly enough

Good communication. Not quick to rush to surgery. Suggested alternatives to try which are working for now. Warm, positive, professional.

Dr. Graves was very respectful, forthright, and spoke to me like a person which I've not gotten from many Drs lately. The only one issue I have is that I missed my second appointment (which was my own fault) but I never received the automated reminder call nor did I receive one for my past appointment either. Although its not the Drs office's job to make sure I keep my appointments.

Doctor Graves has performed three surgeries on my Achilles' tendon after my first doctor completely botched the first surgery. My last surgery was a complete reconstruction of my Achilles tendon which entailed a cadaver attachment wrapped in stem cell. Doctor Graves is a fantastic surgeon who has a terrific bedside manner that is hard to find in today's medical field. If I could rate five stars I would not hesitate to do so. If you need a second opinion or surgery get it done by the best in his field, that would be Dr. Stanley Graves.
