Dr. Stanley Jay Haberman, MD

I was a patient over 35yrs ago,my mom was a nurse at capital health mercer so she had the inside scoop on who to see. Dr. H was ahead of his time,he recognized my brain worked differently wich today is called ADHD, found a therapist,specialist in comprehension bc im ambidextrous,understood how difficult life could be for me and was extremely supportive. He would seek my mom out at the hospital to see how things were,called when she left the hospital and I wasn't a pt. Anymore. I cried and cried,my parents say dr. H saved my life,and theirs lol...I wasn't an easy child. I REMEMBER him telling them,you watch she will be in Healthcare...and I am. I would love to spend 1 day observing and absorb just a little of his knowledge

Was just discussing my past as a child being terrified of doctors, I mean kicking crying and grabbing the walls and doorways while going down the hall to try to escape kind of petrified. Dr Haberman was the ONLY doctor I wasn’t afraid of and would willingly go with. He would find elephants in my ears but these elephants weren’t even just the regular variety they were PURPLE. Everyone knows anything that comes out of your nose is surely green and not purple. He helped calm my fear of doctors and helped my mom keep “some” of her sanity. They saw me as a patient for even a little while longer then they likely were supposed to because it took awhile for me to find someone I could feel comfortable with. I’m 42 now and have an amazing partnership with all of my doctors and have become so much better with procedures and er visits. Turns out health related anxiety is bad for me and I kinda wish Dr Haberman was still my doctor, god only knows what he could find in my ears nowadays!
