Dr. Klein is an active member of the department of surgery at a prestigious local university. He has in excess of 30 years experience in all aspects of the evaluation and surgical management of the obese patient. Dr. Klein is board certified in general surgery, surgical critical care, and vascular surgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Klein has been active in teaching medical students, residents and other health professionals about the care and treatment of the obese patient. Dr. Klein has contributed to over 100 peer-reviewed publications including those of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, as well as multiple other organizations dealing with surgery of the digestive tract. Finally, Dr. Klein is consistently recognized by his patients as a compassionate, energetic and dedicated surgeon who is committed to excellence in the care of his patients.

Over the last seventeen years I have had three surgeries performed by Dr. Klein. A Roux-n-y, a stomach reconstruction and a recent inguinal hernia repair. His experience is extensive and his dedication to his craft and patient welfare, exemplary - both pre and post op.

This doctor saved my life. Besides being a phenomenal surgeon (he’s a trained trauma surgeon-the best kind of doctor), he goes above and beyond for each of his patients. He spends as much time as you need during appointments to ensure you’re getting the best care possible. My only fear is when this man retires.
