Dr. Stanley Szuchi Lee, MD

He looked at his phone the entire time I described my excruciating back pain/issues, then told me that "pain is a part of life" and sent me on my way.

Worst dr ever. Late to appointment and didn’t even take his coat off. Didn’t close door for privacy and I could hear the exam on the lady he did across the hall. Never even looked at my back. The issue is actually noticeable. What dr wouldn’t look at that when you bring it up? Luckily I took notes after I left of EXACTLY what occurred during visit. He was so bad he didn’t even get my answers correct and he recorded it! How dumb are you?!? Not sure how this guy even made it through school. Definitely wouldn’t allow him to be my surgeon. Save yourself a lot of time and stay far, far away from this guy!!

He must be on the spectrum with some sort of social disorder. He’s all great bringing you into his care but when it comes to after care this man is profoundly inept re: his ability to treat his patients with individualized care. It seems like he has great difficulty understanding that not all patients fall into the typical or expected guidelines and/or outcomes. He is also very blunt with his opinions and certainly has no concept of treating his patients with dignity and respect. He has no regard that his patients come with feelings and emotions along with their physical spine issues. Good doctors know how to approach sensitive issues with compassion utilizing education rather than blunt critical statements. He clearly has no compassion or understanding that patients may have other issues outside the realm of his expertise. His communication is very poor hence the horrific bedside manner.

I have a back injury from a fall while hiking. It is well documented and I've been seen by neurologists at the best hospitals in boston and houston. Dr. Lee spent 30 seconds looking at my MRI and told me that I was not a candidate for surgery, my pain and numbness were subjective, and that I should use a walker.

I called Orthopedic Inst. and was referred to Dr. Lee. First I must say that any other doctor at the Livonia Office is above excellent. He does not even meet the lowest grade for a surgeon. He is very short with his time and never came to speak with my husband after my surgery was finished and the pain continues. I did not see him the next day when my discharge was written and my husband came to get me. My discharge was handled by a N.P. who wrote my discharge. The hospital and the doctors practicing there score above excellent but we will NEVER use Dr. Stanley Lee again. He must be happy because he received our insurance money. We will continue to use St. Mary Hospital and Physicians who send patients there BUT we will never use Dr. Lee AGAIN

This doctor should not be allowed to give any type of exam. He talked so fast that I couldn't keep up. When he was doing his dictations, I had to keep correcting him. A few of the things he didn't even correct. I was very disappointed and will definitely be contacting Lansing. While I understand it is his job to make sure that people are not abusing the system, and were really hurt at work. There is no need to be rude and not even make eye contact. This was a horrible experience and I hope I never have to see him again. I am in pain from a work injury and he made me feel less than a person or like I was a liar. Please don't see this doctor.

I was sent to this man for an IME for an evaluation of my lower lumbar region due to a fall I had at work. I had been receiving treatment for 2 bulging discs, and one herniated disc in my neck that is compressing the nerve causing, arm pain, swelling, numbness, tingling, and weakness in both my hands. This man is a joke! He works for Workers Compensation and is flat out an insurance guru. His quick evaluation of my lower lumbar region was as well a joke. His findings were that I had NO spinal injury due to my fall whatsoever, even my neck injury. His license should be revoked for his fraudulent findings. Workers Comp dropped me completely. I called the Worker's Comp Labor Board in Lansing, MI and they informed me that my WC insurance company should have sent my diagnostic testing back to the original IME that I had seen for evaluation of my neck due to my fall to make an addendum to his original evaluation. After questioning WC on this matter, 2 months later the original IME received… my diagnostic testing, and what do you know.....neck injury is definitely due to my fall. Based on Dr. Stan Lee's evaluation, WC is still standing by his lower lumbar opinion of no injury from my fall, even though his opinion of my neck, had been clearly proven wrong. I am disputing with the Labor Board....Dr. Stan Lee should not be taken seriously, his reputation has been burned in my opinion, as well as in the opinion of my treating physical medicine & rehabilitation specialist. Once my PM&R specialist seen Dr. Stan Lee's report, he laughed, and said as son as he seen who the report was from, he knew that WC was trying to get rid of me! I am not going anywhere, I am fighting WC all the way!

three minutes of looking at my file, walk to that wall ok walk back bend over touch your knees. …. OK YOUR DONE/ SUCH A JOKE/ HE SENT A LETTER TO THE WORK COMP SAYING NOTHING IS WRONG WITH ME/SPINE COMPRESSION BULGING DISC/ NERVE DAMAGE.

If you are going to see him for an (IME) independent medical exam requested by your insurance company - GOOD LUCK - This Dr. will do everything he can for the insurance company to close your case - This is what he is being paid to do!!! Read all of the reviews! After seeing him my case was closed saying nothing was wrong with me - I had to see a surgeon soon afterwards and was told I need a surgery! When you see this Dr. look at how he is dressed he has never worked a day in his life! It looks as though he is making big $$$ doing these services for insurance companies! Please note how little he does to evaluate you - If you take your records he does not even want to look at them or listen to you because your insurance has sent him only what they want him to see! Don't trust this doctor!!!!!!

Worst bought and payed for doctor I've ever met with. Exam maybe lasted three minutes, didn't see him review my imaging, went through my paperwork at lighting speed. Had the nerve to tell me it was my choice to stay in a physically demanding job like I could pick out a different job the next day. Dr. Lee is a disgrace to the medical community and in my opinion is a big part of what is wrong with healthcare in America
