Dr. Stanley M. Saulny, MD

The staff was extremely kind and organized. I have had 2 appts at Westlake eye assoc, approx 2 months apart in 2024. The only doctor I came in contact with was Dr Saulney, who only visits this location a couple times a month. I have never been treated in such a demeaning manner than what that man did to me. My 1st visit, I waited for 1.5 hours in the waiting room and another 30min once back in the exam room. This physician appears to be on a power trip. Argumentative at any questions that were raised. He was so offensive to me, that I told him I did not wish to continue my appt with him anymore because of his condescending attitude & argumentative stance & behavior. I do NOT recommend Dr Saulney to anyone!!!!! I was considering eye surgery with this doctor. I cannot imagine how he treats his elderly patients. He is unkind, condescending, argumentative and down right rude. A patient is not safe in his hands!!!!!!

Dr Saulny appears professional and well experienced. I felt I could trust him to have my ptosis repaired, and I'm so happy I made that choice. The procedure went very well. Of course there was some bruising and swelling for days afterwards, but it cleared up. My vision is improved and my eyes look like they did years ago! Natural looking results. Highly recommended!

I am absolutely dissatisfied with my eyelid surgery. My eyelids had become "hooded" and I lost the dept of my eyes. In an effort to make my eyes look "natural" the doctor left a tremendous amount of hooded tissue still on my eyes. With the exception of scars (and thick raised scars in the inner corners of my eyes that make me look crossed-eyed), it doesn't even look like I had the surgery. Dr. Saulny would not do anything to rectify.

Dr. Saulny performed eyelid surgery on me yesterday at Southern Eye Center in Hattiesburg, MS and did an outstanding job! I had a layer of fatty tissue overlapping my upper eyelids which removed any depth to my eyes and was very bothersome to me. After only one day since the surgery, I can tell that I am extremely pleased with his work and recommend him highly for any procedures of this type or which he is qualified to perform. He is very thorough in explaining all aspects of a procedure, both positive and negative, so that his patients can make an informed decision. He has a terrific bedside manner and seems to genuinely enjoy his work for which he is very skilled. He smiles constantly and is very easy to talk to, yet very professional.

the thing is, they're all confused there. and i like the doc but he's running all over and he doesn't even look at your file. kids are working there and they don't know what they're doing. they'll cut off their mother's leg to make a buck on the cosmetics end and don't take the medical end too seriously because i don;t think it's the big money maker for them. just don't feel super comfortable there. after all, it's your eyes. something's not quite right there. can't put my finger on it. seems to be a big turn over in staff.

My eyelids fell down. After Dr. Saulny, you can see my eyes again, and all looks NATURAL. I do not have tight, pulled skin. I do not have uneven eyes. I simply look a thousand times better.His care was excellent. His "bedside manor" was kind and patient---as I was initially quite nervous. He informed me of every step so I wouldn't worry if I felt something. To top it off---there was no pain.I would do all again in a heartbeat.

unless you have an eyelid problem, do not bother to be seen by the doctor; he neither is interested nor willing to concentrate on any other issue or question.

I made a decision not to go to my HMO doctor, (I wanted the best), and researched an Opthomologist based on his education and patient reviews. I went to Dr. Saulny at his West Hills office as his education was the best I found,(Harvard) and also he had good patient reviews. I was not dissappointed. In fact, I cannot remember such thorough examination and treatment since I was a child with our family physician. (I am 55) I presented with a growth on my eyelid which had worried me for a while. Dr. Sauly explained what this was, and how he would take care of it within minutes. I knew I could trust this man, and I went forward. The procedure took minutes, there was absolutely no pain, and when I left there was not even a trace that anything had been done to my eye. This was done with finesse. I am so pleased with this doctor. His bedside manner was caring and calm, and he took the time to explain everything and answer questions. You may be sure that you will get the best treatment from… this man, from expertise to attitude. I hightly recommend that this is a worthwhile visit. If front staff is rushed and or stressed, ignore it if you can see Dr. Saulny, as it will be worth it. I also want to say that the young lady that did my pre-exam questions by the name of Sarah, was wonderful, extremely thorough, intelligent, and basically a very nice person.
