Dr. Stanley A Sheppard, DDS

Dr. Stanley Sheppard graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Pharmacy. Following active duty in the Army as an Armor officer, he received his doctorate degree from the University of Alabama. He then completed his pediatric specialty training at Children’s Hospital, University Hospital, and the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Dr. Sheppard is an active member of First Baptist Church in Tallahassee, and the Tallahassee Downtown Rotary Club where he has been active in mission trips recently to St. Lucia and Guatemala.
He has practiced in Tallahassee for more than twenty years, but has never lost the quest for new advancements in patient treatment. His foremost priority is to give each child individual attention and comprehensive care.
Dr. Sheppard is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Orthodontic Society. He is a past president of the American Orthodontic Society, Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentist, and the Florida Society …for Dentistry for Children. He is also a past member for the Auburn Alumni Advisory Board. He is also currently an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Florida. Dr. Sheppard maintains staff privileges at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center, and the Tallahassee Outpatient Surgery Center. He is also an active member in the prestigious GNATHOS Orthodontic Study Club.
Dr. Sheppard’s scope of practice involves preventive, restorative, orthodontic treatment, and hospital dentistry. These range of treatments are combined with education to prepare the child for a lifetime of positive dental experiences. We treat infants, children, adolescents and those with special needs.
