Dr. Stanley Max Wilbur, MD

Did not do a good enough job in Treating me.

Dr Wilbur has been my excellent doctor for over 20 years now and I am really going to miss him because he is leaving, according to the staff. I really appreciate him for taking care of my health through out the years.

You can tell by Dr. Stanley Wilbur's congeniality and enthusiasm , that he likes his job.He shows great concern and is very proactive in his manner of quickly ordering the necessary test needed for diagnoses and treatment. He listens well and really cares for the individual that he is seeing. That has been my experience and I feel very fortunate to have found such a doctor. His staff is really great too !

I selected Dr. Wilbur after changing providers several times. He is a compassionate doctor who does an excellent job of managing my disease and medical needs. He returns calls promptly and ensures that my prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. His medical assistant, Serena, is very efficient, helpful and courteous. Great overall experience!

I had a very negative experience with Dr. Wilbur. I was his patient for 5 months and he failed to warn me I was pre-diabetic. When he did diagnose me with diabetes of over 200 (extremely high), I explained I was going to be out of state the next week and needed help to make the drive. It was a 2-3 day drive and he was aware that I had been feeling ill. With full knowledge, he told me I was fine to go without medication and when I get there to see a doctor. When I finally got back, I set a appointment to see him. I had been prescribed metformin by another doctor. When I showed him the bottle he told me "I don't agree with this medication.", refilled it, and never addressed it again. I have since then changed doctors, but I wonder what would have been had I never seen him in the first place. Sadly, my loss.

I had recently changed insurance companies and was without a doctor for some time when I made a "blind" appointment with my new provider and was assigned to Dr. Wilbur. Talk about "the luck of the draw"! He came to my appointment prepared, immediately established an atmosphere of trust and confidence, has a great bedside manner, and spends the time required to understand his patient's concerns. Dr. Wilbur is definitely the standard by which Sharp should measure all of its medical staff!!

I never see my doctor very often. My primary care physician left. He was very quiet and lacked any emotion the few times I DID see him, but overall was professional. Felt like he was going through the motions. Dr Wilber was a breath of fresh air! He researched my files before I met with him and actually treated me like human being. He was alert and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. I recommended that my husband see him and he felt the same way. We love this guy. Like you'd want to hang out with him. Nice change.
