Dr. Stanton Richard Elzi, MD

Dr. Stan Elzi has been my physician since I moved to Colorado four years ago. He is the best Dr. I have ever had and I'm 71.

Too bod Dr. Elzi is trapped with such terrible support staff. Routine appointments are months out and are easily canceled which takes you to the back of the line again. Prescriptions are doubled or non-existent requiring repeated interactions with office staff who obviously do not care about you or your medical needs. Computer systems that are down for weeks at a time. From my personal experience, do your self a favor. This is not the office for you.

I have been going to Dr. Stanton Elzi for over 15 years and always gives me the best professional service. Amazingly he remembers things about my personal life that makes you feel at ease which is wonderful since going to the doctor can make you tense. It is wonderful to go to a doctor who cares and gives me the best professional service .

I had called and talked with Dr. S. Elzi about my spouse having serious physical and emotional problems that were not typical for him. (I had even written a letter to him, and had spoken with his assistant several times about these same concerns.) My concern was that my husband was reacting to 3 different meds Dr. Elzi has had him on, and has had him on for at least 18 months. He agreed with me that these meds could be causing the serious problems we were seeing in my spouse, and he agreed to go over our family's concerns "in great detail" at my spouse's next appointment in a couple weeks. Not only were these concerns never gone over, Dr. Elzi didn't even see my spouse! His father, Dr. W. Elzi, did, and didn't even bother to open his chart, or he would have seen notes and red flags all over the place. Dr. W. Elzi gave my spouse a clean bill of health, and despite my husband having lost 15 pounds in 3 months, chose to send him on his way with refills on all his prescriptions--no… questions asked! When I called to speak to Dr. S. Elzi about this incompetence, he refused to return my calls. To date, I have not heard from him, nor do I exptect to. Any good physician knows to re-check blood levels on chronic conditions. Not so with these guys. My husband has not been re-checked for 18 months! Very negligent and incompetent, and very rude front desk staff. Stay away from these guys.

Poor diagnostician. Dr. was unable to diagnose my condition. Had to see another doc who diagnosed correctly the first time.

He is a busy physician, so he plans his time with patients to cover most topics of concern. He is suspicious toward nurse patients, and likes to be in charge. He gives a thorough yearly check-up and calls results to his patients. He takes liberties in ordering drug screens without telling his patients, mostly to put his mind at ease.He is a good physician, but strictly business.
