Dr. Stanton Charles Honig, MD

Every resident of Dr Honigs realizes the fact that he has terrible hand tremors during surgery, along with the fact that he's getting too old to perform surgery in a professional way. Every resident acknowledges this outside of his office but WHY won't they inform UCONN urology this potentially catastrophic problem?! Patients of Dr. Honigs should AT LEAST be given the common courtesy of informing them about this. It could prevent them from making the terrible mistake of trusting a doctor who is no longer capable of practicing surgery SAFELY. I'm guessing Uconn doesn't inform patients of this because it would damage there reputation. If any patients of his is thinking of having surgery performed by him, please think again.

Dr Honig is great but only if you can actually get through the horrible office run-around to get to him. The staff are not helpful at all...never return calls...it's been so disheartening dealing with this on top of dealing with a new diagnosis.

HE CAME VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. WHEN WE ARRIVED WE WAITED OVER AN HOUR TO SEE HIM. THE VISIT TOOK APPROX 30 MIN. ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEN WE RECEIVED THE BILL 475.00 FOR 30 MIN OF CONVERSATION ONLY. I CALLED THE OFFICE AND WAS TOLD THATS WHAT YOU NEED TO PAY. THANKS NOW LOOKING FOR NEW DOC

and i get the sense that he doesnt know what hes doing, he was very insulting and not professional in my opinion. when you go to a urologist 9 times out of 10 its something personal and i dont think he understands that.

Dr. Honig told me my options and risks. He told me what to expect, and it went as he said. Surgery was quick. No pain just discomfort the next 2 days, then fine. No surprises or frustrations. Good work.

I was very nervous about getting a vasectomy. Dr. Honig was recommended as one of the best in the specialty and I was not disappointed. The procedure was much easier than I expected and his great beside manner (mix of humor and compassion) has made me a fan. Thanks Dr. Honig.
