I contacted the department and had a large 3 cm aneurysm and was told that Ii should have been directly admitted. Tjoumakaris responded the I could wait and brought in the following week as a out patient. Needless to say I went to Penn who saved my life. She could care less about patients which is sad.

Saved my life and most importantly my brain function! I arrived via helicopter with an unexpected subarachnoid hemorrhage, the Jeff Neuro team quickly did scans/tests and diagnosed me as a candidate for endovascular coiling, Dr, Tjoumakaris talked to me right before surgery. Love the Jeff Neuro nurses, residents, doctors, nursing students and everyone involved in my recovery!!! Jeff Neuro rocks for recovery - quiet, positive atmosphere - everyone was cheering my recovery!

Patients of Thomas Jefferson Hospital need to know that the department of Neurosurgery has failed you guys. All of a sudden if you can't have your surgery or need to have a synthetic bone plate made the reason is because the refrigeration failed. YEAH a billion dollar company couldn't keep their patients body parts safe and you are now being called freezer failure patients!!!! Do you really want to trust these clowns? Don't do it. Staff and physicians are leaving this department at an alarming rate ask yourself why!!!

Diagnosed my hemorrhagic stroke. Implanted ventricular drain and later a VP shunt. No complications from surgeries, and six months later I have no stroke symptoms.
