Rude, uncaring, doesn’t follow through when you really need him. My husband ended up in serious condition because this doctor never followed through with the care he needed. Thankfully we found a “real” doctor who took him as an emergency case and he now has the care a doctor should provide.

Smart and competent but poor bedside manners

He might be a good doctor, but he has terrible bedside manner. His large dog pushes into the treatment rooms at will, The only saving grace is a Wonderful nurse who performs most of the work herself!

My father received treatment from this doctor. He had a complication and Karos basically couldn't be bothered to deal with it. I was unable to ever receive a call back with an explanation despite getting in touch with his very professional/kind office staff on multiple attempts. We had to get a second opinion from another doctor because we were getting no answers from him. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Beware this man is very unprofessional and doesn't know what he's doing

Took my Dad to him, he was recommended by the Littleton Life Care Center. He was rude, never explained what the outcome was of the exam he gave my Dad. Never did the exam he said he was going to do in the first place. Never even said a word to my Dad about anything he was doing in the operating room. Had to take my Dad back to the OR 3 times after the procedure Dr Karos did. The last time there the Dr on duty called Karos and he never returned her call. We could still be sitting in the OR waiting. What kind of a Dr does that. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I read the last review that was so unfavorable and could not disagree more. In fact this physician is the ONLY one who diagnosed my pain correctly. I went to two ERs and two other urologists. NO ONE did a CT scan until I saw Dr. Karos. He then showed me the images in his office and explained them. He also explained my choices. No one ever told me I had choices until that day-they just kept trying to sell me their agenda. He is very direct and clear. But he answered all my questions completely which is refreshing in this day of voice mail, computers and people who are not doctors who pretend to be. He had my kidney stone out and I was back to work by the end of the week. I wish I had seen him first.

I cannot stress highly enough how much I CANNOT recommend this doctor. From the very beginning of treating me (for reoccurring cases of acute urinary retention), he was arrogant and brusque and never took me seriously. He insisted my problem was neurological (despite a neurologist disagreeing) and never performed any helpful tests to determine the cause of this problem. He didn't even want me to learn how to self-cath but I eventually got an appointment to learn. This morning while learning to self-cath, Doctor Karos came in, barely spoke a word to me as though I was an object rather than a person and assumed explicit permission to start "teaching" me to self-cath. This involved him brutally forcing my labia apart and grabbing my hand and forcing me to shove the catheter into my urethra even though I was crying and telling him I was in a ton of pain. When the catheter went in he let the urine run all over the chair and floor and the dress I was wearing, and said "There, that's how you… do it" and walked out of the room. I genuinely felt as though I had been assaulted. It was incredibly painful and traumatic and the nurse in the room with me even apologized repeatedly for what had happened.

Dr. Karos has no bedside manner whatsoever. He even acknowledges that he can be abrupt but makes no effort to change. He brought me close to tears. I have seen two doctors since him and neither of them agreed with what he said.
