Dr. Stefanie Margit Steiner, DO

I needed to change physicians when my new health insurance was not accepted by the doctor I had been with for over 11 years. Dr. Steiner was a recommendation from someone I knew at my workplace. In the 2 1/2 years I have been with her, I have seen her 3 times. The first was to "meet" her and fill out paper work. Six months later I went to my appointment thinking I would have my yearly well visit. She listened to my heart, than sat at her computer and read the results of my blood work. End of appointment. She likes to see her patients every 6 months, so I go to that appointment, expecting my wellness checkup, and I also had several questions. Again, she listened to my heart (no wellness check up) and then sat at her computer and never really made eye contact. She dismissed my questions without much consideration, got up, and went out the door, leaving me trailing behind. I called the office about later blood work results, but received no response. I called about a script for my… annual mammogram, and it is sent to a hospital where I never have gone, and who would not have records to compare. I am a healthy individual, with no current issues, but I want to stay that way, and would like a doctor who has interest in keeping her patients healthy. Dr. Steiner was not a good fit for that kind of care.

She helped me with my asthma. I can workout again. I cant say enough nice things about her.

Dr. Steiner needs more patience with her patients! This so-called-doctor is only playing dress -up! She pranced into the examination room with her high heels and face on and acted as if my complaints were a bother. First time visit was no more then 15 min. She was illusive and in a rush to move on. So quess what folks so have I! Don't waste your time or your co-pay!

Dr. Steiner, from my experience seeing her 2 or 3 visits, is unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. She and the office I visited had no concept of patient privacy, loudly discussing conditions including my name for all other patients to hear. Also, the last time I was in I sat waiting in my patient room for at least 20 minutes as I could hear Dr. Steiner just outside laughing and talking about her weekend with personnel, as if there was no one to tend to. I changed practices within a year.

I wasn't impressed. seems like a robot going through the motions all the while her face is in that laptop of hers asking questions without even looking up. Maybe the new face of medicine? Other than that, she was pleasant enough.

Brought my elderly mother in to see this doctor the first time, and she is pleasant enough, but she seemed like she had somewhere else to be. If she viewed my mother's records, she must have done so before or after our visits, because she never opened a folder, just typed away on her laptop, and asked mom where she wanted to pick up her prescriptions. That was it! And this was her very first visit. Mom deserved a more thorough exam then a smile and hello. On a more positive note she washed her hands in our presense. But she is only a part time in this office in RS.
