Dr. Stephanie Karol Becker, MD

I have been going to Dr.Becker for a few years for annual eye exams due to glaucoma running in family. Every time I have gone the wait time is between 45 minutes to an hour but todayvwas the worst. I got there 15 minutes early for an appt and after and hour and seeing people who came on after me being taken care of I got up and ask the receptionist is I had been forgotten after looking at the paperwork and asking my name again she asks another girl and she says I’m next. Mind you a patient came in after I was waiting an hour and had an appt later than mine and she was taken before me. So thinking I’m next I wait already annoyed and I was not called next a gentleman who came on over an hour after me was taken. I got up said I’m leaving this is ridiculous how is everyone after me taken before me. There was no explanation or apologies I took them they need to learn time management and be professional. Never going back will find another eye doctor and staff that cares about their… patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Becker for over 20 years. I trust my eyes to no one else.

I found the doctor to be unprofessional and uninformative. Made assumptions about the meds my husband was on in relation to his condition without checking his chart. Her and staff referred to my husband as "cute".My husband has dementia, I found this condescending and insulting. There are more qualified doctors, do your research.

There is absolutely NO REASON to have an early morning appointment and still be waiting to see doctor almost 2 hours later

I waited almost 2 hours to see doctor for a simple check after a 5 minute test. Won’t teturn!

I do not know why there are some negative comments about Dr. Becker and her staff. I have been a patient of theirs for years. I can honestly say whole hardheartedly that I have never had a bad experience ever. she is well mannered,cares for her patients, very sweet and knowledgeable. her office is very Clean. I have been to other eye doctors in the past and none of them did some of the test that they run. they are kept up with the today's technologies and don't see why there are any issues. Joe is also amazing. he helps you when you need any contacts , eye glasses etc... As far as wait time, there is a wait in almost every doctors office you go to. i don't believe i have waited more than half an hour. People need to understand, things happen and emergencies come up, so if So if you are there waiting, i am sure there is a valid reason. I would highly recommend Dr. Becker to anyone. she is Fantastic and trustworthy. Jeannette

I went to Dr. Becker to treat various eye issues that stemmed from a nasal procedure and a brutal antibiotic used to treat a hospital/ antibiotic-induced infection. When I scheduled my appointment I asked for the very first one as soon as the office opened. No other patients were there when I arrived. The techs ran some tests then Dr. Becker had me sit in the exam room. She claimed that there was something wrong with one of my tests. She disappeared for an hour while treating several other patients in other exam rooms (patients who arrived after me and were scheduled for later times). I should have just got up and left. I will not be returning because I prefer to give my hard earned money to a doctor that values my time just as much as theirs. The staff was nice, but that's not enough to make me want to return to an unprofessional doctor.

She did my daughter's laser surgery 20 years ago and will soon be doing my surgery. You do n-o-t have to wait 2 hours! She's got a busy practice so the occasional wait but staff very friendly as is she. Any extra tests equals 'thorough'! She does not talk about herself, only if you approach the subject. Her manner is perrrfect for me; I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to docs and she makes me feel instantly at ease. Highly recommended.

very unprofessional pushes surgery. and the office is gross. filthy bathroom. rugs are horrible. you wait forever and she orders a million test every time you come in. then spends 30 seconds with you. I would never use her again.

Unlike some doctor's offices these days, Dr. Becker's staff was very kind and courteous. I had to wait a bit to see the doctor, but that's not unusual. Dr. Becker was very empathetic, took a very good family history of my Dad's glaucoma, and discovered that I had high pressure in both eyes. From there, she did some more tests to be sure that my optic nerves were not damaged. She took the time to explain the results and the options, and prescribed some eye drops to control the pressure. She is very smart and has a very nice bedside manner.
