Dr. Stephanie Gabrielle Berger, MD

Dr. Berger was very nice when she visited me in the ER and spent roughly 10 minutes with me. However, that 10 minutes turned into a claim from her to my insurance for $1,110.00. Hmmm. checked my heart beat, a few shallow breathes, and asking me a couple questions. How on earth do you justify putting in a claim for $1,110.00? This is called highway robbery

I visited the ER with my 5 month old son after he was severely vomitting and aspirated. We had the misfortune of having this physician on duty in the ER that night. The nursing staff was fantastic, and the pediatrician who actually took care of my son, also fantastic. Dr. Berger checked on my son 1 time over the course of 8 hours. One time. A 5 mo old baby.... I then received a $1500 bill in which there are duplicative charges for things she never even did. Mind you, to even say she observed him is a gross overstatement of fact. It's too bad you don't have a choice of physician in an emergency situation and its too bad the nurses who actually DO things aren't the ones that charge these ridiculous amounts for ignoring a patient and having him sit there white as a ghost vomitting uncontrollably for 40 minutes straight. If I went to an ER and saw she was on duty, I would leave.
