She exceeds my expectations. I changed to Dr. Carmichael when I was about 7 months pregnant with my son, whom she delivered and I had been going to her ever since. My son is 6 now. Every time I see Dr. Carmichael, she gives me her undivided attention. At every visit, she was very respectful, thorough and she listened. She talked with me and made me feel like I was the only patient she was seeing that day. She takes the time to explain everything before, during, and after examination to ensure comfort. The only reason I left the practice was because I moved out of state. Since then, I have not been able to find a doctor of her standard; she set the bar high. If I hadn't seen my OB/GYN by the next time I visit ATL, I will make sure I set an appointment with Dr. Carmichael to get my annual done before I travel back home, which is over 800 miles away. Dr. Carmichael truly sets herself apart from the rest. She took the time to talk about my entire health and showed me that she cared about… me as a person not just a patient. She is absolutely amazing and I miss her dearly.

Dr. Carmichael is wonderful! I really liked her! She seems genuinely friendly. Got a good vibe from her. She is also gentle during exams and made me feel comfortable. She didn't rush me, she took her time to answer any questions. I would recommend!

Dr. Carmichael and her staff have always made me feel at ease and welcomed and that my health was priority. She is quite thorough in explaining what your health issues are so that you as the patient can also take responsibility in your overall health. I've recommended her services to several people and will continue to do so!

Dr. Carmichael is the best doctor i have seen. She takes her time with any needs i have and makes sure she explains everything that is going on with my body. She also make sure she explains all my options and helps me make in major decisions. I love her staff and everything about her office

What I like about Dr. Carmichael she will try everything before doing any type of surgery. She has a great personality and always try to keep you smiling. This Doctor is overall the best I have ever had. She not only think about you but your family as well. I would recommand her to all mother and daugther. She is the best.

I recently moved to the Decatur area and had to change doctors. I had been seeing Dr. Frederick at Isis OB/GYN as my gyn.This review is about my visit and experience with Dr. Carmichael. Her bedside manner is cold, dry, and non conversational, I didn't feel like she cared what I had to say. Other issues I had with her: I have to take thyroid meds and high blood pressure meds daily. I explained that my previous OB/GYN (Dr. Frederick) took care of those for me and prescribed my refills and read my test results annually. She refused to help me with that. She told me to get a primary care physician to prescribe those. That's the only medication I take, and I don't see any other doctors beyond a yearly OB/GYN physical. Since blood pressure meds are classed as a type "C" drug, and can cause birth defects, it's common for that doctor to be involved in the treatment of HBP. In fact, the primary care physician I saw because of her asked me to have her write the Rx because it's so important to… be careful with this medication if you were to get pregnant.What prompted me to write this review is a phone call I just received from my pharmacy telling me that Dr. Carmichael DENIED a refill of my blood pressure medicine. I WILL NOT EVER go to her again, nor do I recommend that you do.
