Dr. Stephanie Sifun Cheung, MD

I grew up in Orange County and have lived here most of my life. I moved briefly to Palo Alto for my undergraduate studies at Stanford University, where I focused my studies on human biology. Along the way, I studied at Oxford University for a few months to learn about the United Kingdoms nationalized health care system, which was a fantastic experience. It had long been my passion to work in the health care field. After college, I moved back to Orange County and attended medical school at UC Irvine, where I continued my studies and medical experience for nine years. I decided to focus my career on internal medicine and nephrology because I enjoyed getting to know and helping my patients, especially during serious disease processes. In particular, I love the variety of experiences that nephrology provides in the hospital, office, and dialysis settings.
