Dr. Stephanie Diane Flagg, MD

Was told by this Dr. she couldn’t help me after one visit because she couldn’t readily identify my autoimmune issue. This process is not cut and dry, takes multiple visits, and various testing as well as good analytical and clinical skills to evaluate and treat. Felt Dr didn’t want to bother with a complex case after I was told by her there were so many possible autoimmune illnesses out there, she had so many patients, and didn’t really have time to devote to figuring it out.

Dr. Flagg is caring, always attentive and includes you (the patient) in her decision-making. She is very professional, and truly cares about her patients. If you have questions or concerns, she always listens and discusses all the possible approaches or possible methods of treatments. I am truly blessed to have her as my rheumatologist. Excellent doctor!

I went to Dr. Flagg when I was having a lot of unexplained things going on. I had my questions organized and prior medical records ready. Dr. Flagg was impatient and short. When she diagnosed me, I asked if the condition was common, to which she said "what does that matter?" When I asked if we were trying to cure my illness or simply treat the symptoms, she said she had to "calm herself" before responding. (I guess because my questions were annoying her?) It was a bizarre appointment and I would never go back. I am getting a second opinion because I didn't find her credible or trustworthy.

I had been to 2 other rheumatologists before being recommended to Dr. Flagg. The other 2 rheumatologists treated me like I was crazy with a "why are you here" attitude. I was so paranoid about going to a 3rd rheumatologist that I took pictures of my swollen hands in the morning so someone would believe me. Turns out no need, she could tell I was having swelling even before I showed the pics. She diagnosed me right away with inflammatory arthritis and immediately ordered blood work and x-rays. I was so relieved to finally find a good rheumatologist who cared enough to treat me like a human being. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone.

Excellent doctor. Picked up my problem right away based on her exam and taking my history, rather than just looking through other doctor's notes. She zeroed in on a problem no one else had seen ruled out another one that was misdiagnosed. I wish I'd met her years ago. I find her very accessible by phone. Appointments can be a wait, but emergencies are always accommodated and enough time is always alloted to treat you properly. I couldn't be more pleased.

I am an advanced practice nurse with a complicated medical history. I came in with a long time diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and Dr Flagg saw beyond that and took the time to rediagnose me with unspecified polyarthropathy. She has gotten my symptoms under control, as well as validated that I am truly experiencing the kind of pain and level of pain that I am.I highly recommend her.

I have nothing but praise for my visit with Dr Flagg. She was attentive, very thorough, compassionate and gave me the time that was needed. I tried to respect her time by bringing all xrays with reports and to have my questions ready.I would recommend her to everyone who needs a good rheumatologist.

I left the appointment with exactly what I had come for; a form of treatment for my RA. I did not appreciate the way in which my appointment was handled by the doctor, and the condesending tone I perceived. I did not have a pleasant experience and I would not recommend her. Also her suggested treatment was not successful and I beleive this is due to the fact that I did not feel listened to during the appointment.
