Dr. Stephanie J Forbes, DO

Never cared about my mental health. I brought up concerns and she basically told me I was just making my feelings up and had nothing to worry about. Unprofessional. Would talk about politics during appointments. Canceled her appts on her last day before retirement, leaving all of those patients without refills. What a class act. Good riddance. Happy retirement.

I needed to find a new doctor and Dr Forbes came highly recommended so I finally went it. I was nervous but she quickly calmed my nerves. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend her.

Very poor overall. Super fake personality. Only wants you to become a patient so she can prescribe you happy pills that she has CLEARLY taken too many of. Once I came to the realization of this I tried to leave only to find myself manipulated by her constant attempt to justify herself to prescribe something if not anything. Once I was not willing to take any anti depressants and tried to leave she became upset and stated that "antidepressants aren't all that I have to offer; I also have stimulants." I left at that point. Main point: She manipulated the situation, only wanting to prescribing medications that were contraindicated to my disorder. She didn't want me to leave without me having a script! I was referred to Dr. Forbes as a referral by my PCP for anxiety. I filled out all of the forms and questionnaires when I visited Dr. Forbes' office. Once we were in her office her primary objective was to prescribe me anything. She proceeded to try to prescribe me any and… every type of anti depressant. She would not let me leave on my own free will without writing me a prescription, literally. She held me captive by continuously questioning the reason I was there and the only reason I was there was for anxiety! Which she stated she would never help me with. When said she was not that type of physician. When I tried to end the conversation and get the heck out of there she became upset again and muttered "hmm" over and over again. She would not let me leave without her say so! End points: super fake personality, not a true physician, only wants to write you prescriptions for "happy pills" and I am pretty sure she is self prescribing "happy pills".

Great Doctor. Totally helpful and willing to help me feel better by trying possible alternatives. We found the right selection and I am feeling much better than in the past. She does have a tendency for being late for appointments and quite honestly I give the staff personnel no more than 2 stars. After waiting once for two hours I told them I would need to leave as I had to be someplace else and they said "OK - we'll just charge you as a no-show". Great doctor - has to be for me to go through her staff....

I saw Dr. Forbes for over 6 years. I lost my job and couldn't pay the co-pay for my next visit. I was informed that they would no longer make appointments for me.

I have had 6 visits with Dr. Forbes and the wait time for her is horrible. The last visit I waited over an hour. When I approached the receptionist to question how much longer it would be she told me that there was no way to predict. She proceeded to tell me that Dr. Forbes had come into the office late that day and had therefore started her day behind. I spent almost 2 hours driving to the appoinment and waiting for her. I feel totally insiginicant that no one even bothered to call and advise me of the potential back log of patients that she had that day. I will be finding another doctor!

I have severe bipolar disorder and she is the best doctor I have seen. I just moved to California, and I am hoping I can find another doctor like her. She really takes time with her patients and her care shows. We made significant progress in treating my disorder in the 4 years I went to her.

Dr. Stephanie Forbes is a kind and caring physician who treats me as an adult, and a partner in diagnosing my condition and medication needs. I hope I never have to go elsewhere.
