Dr. Stephanie Hess, MD

Absolutely the worst doctor experience I've ever had. I came in to build a relationship with a potential primary health care provider after an insurance change, renew my SSRI medication & run some lab work (checking for any thyroid issues specifically) after months of having extremely low energy & a having a hard time focusing. She showed absolutely no empathy or care, didn't listen to anything I was saying and had me fill out a depression screening before rushing out the door. Under the impression that Dr. Hess would shortly be returning to continue the conversation, her medical assistant walked in with paperwork for the lab and sent me on my way. Confused by this, I asked if Dr. Hess was returning and she said: "nope, she's all done with you!" NO confirmation on if my prescription was renewed, NO explanation of what blood tests she ordered, NO mention of any follow-up appointments or next steps. She completely left me in the dark. To make it better, as I waited for the… elevator, the MA had to ask (yet again) what mg my medication was... At the lab, I had to ask the woman taking my blood what the tests were for. Turns out, although I specifically asked for thyroid tests, they didn't make the list. I had to go back to Dr. Hess's office to have her add them on. The staff did NOT make this easy on me and I watched 2 receptionists surf Facebook while I waited for someone to help me. I called the pharmacy today (2 business days after my appointment) to see if my prescription came through... Nope. I called the lab today as well to confirm if the additional tests had been added on... Nope. Do NOT go here.

In my opinion she is the worst doctor I have ever seen. She didn't know what was wrong with me and just told me to avoid protein and eat more vegtables (she is appearently a vegan and thinks everything can be fixed by avoiding meat.) I have since found a doctor who properly diagnosed me and I now take medication for my condition. I would not recommend her to anyone.
