Very professional, kind and engaging. I felt at ease with her immediately. She did not rush the appointment and helped my son to feel comfortable as well.

After an incorrect diagnosis by the emergency room staff, we were called back in the next morning after another doctor reviewed his test results. When we got there Dr. Kapfer was there as well and immediately recognized that there was a serious problem and suggested exploratory surgery to determine the problem. She seemed to be the most knowledgable person we had spoken to thus far so we agreed. We are glad we agreed because any further delay and the problem would have been MUCH worse. He had Meckels Diverticulum and had to have 4 feet of small intestine removed. This occurred in 2009. Now my son is perfectly healthy and you literally have to look very closely to even find the scar. Be prepared because she is quite direct and to the point and very professional, which may make her come off as a bit cold, but I actually found it refreshing that she didnt treat me and my wife like children that werent capable of handling the information and decisions at hand. In my opinion Dr.… Kapfer is a fantastic surgeon and I would recommend her to anyone lucky enough to be near her hospital.
