Dr. Stephanie Rhame Lockwood, MD

I wholeheartedly agree with the other negative reviews. Dr. Lockwood does not listen and has poor communication skills. She is bad about talking down to patients, even on topics where she is uninformed. Her dogma and lack of communication skills with me and her staff caused me significant stress when trying to get standard blood tests. My annual physical was very perfunctory with no attention to my specific health needs. Find another physician.

Grossly incompetent. My wife saw her for over a year chasing a stomach issue. She was repeatedly denied a referral to a GI specialist. Since leaving Dr Lockwood, my wife has been diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. I don’t blame Dr Lockwood for the cancer, but consider her obstinate approach a cause for the staging. She told my wife her gallbladder was functioning adequately and then referred her to a surgeon for removal, instead of sending her in for a simple endoscopy. STAY AWAY!

Dr. Lockwood is so caring and compassionate and she really listens. I had to move out of state and I miss her so much.

Dr. Lockwood I liked okay but her nurse, Connie, had it out for me from the beginning it seems. Also witnessed by my mother. Her nurse lied and turned down refills and changed the mg's from my originals without anyone's knowledge. After 3 years, all of this resulted in patient abandonment on Dr. Lockwood's part. She turned down a refill without notifying me or asking me to come in for an appt. first before refilling. I left 2 messages for her to call me and she refused. Not impressed with her nurse for certain as she acts like a 12 yr old and has zero understanding how medication works. Dr. Lockwood had informed me after a yr, when I questioned her regarding Connie's actions, that "the girls out there make decisions without running it by me first". Whether she talked to Connie or not I don't know. But if Connie is doing this to me you can bet she is doing it to others. Dr. Lockwood is guilty of patient abandonment, leaving me quite unimpressed in the end.

Too many doctors I see just want me in and out in 5 minutes. Dr. Lockwood takes the time to ask and listen. She even called me on a Saturday morning to check on me after a somewhat serious issue. No other doctor I have seen has called to check on me.

My experience was very good. Dr. Lockwood took the time to listen and read my chart from other doctors. She did not take what they said for granted - which was good. She helped and the follow-up with her nurse was good.
