Dr. Stephanie A. Pollitz, MD

I am hiding my name and have waited two months to write this review out of fear of this doctor. I experienced a deeply concerning interaction with Dr. Stephanie Politz at NYU Langone, prompting me to leave the appointment sobbing and in distress due to her condescending and disrespectful demeanor. In highsight, my failture to research her background prior to my visit has been my biggest regret in terms of preparing to see any physician. When reviewing online feedback after the appointment, I discovered numerous other patients reported similiar dismissive and humiliating encounters with her. She repeatedly minimized my symptoms, implied I was wasting her time, and derived satisfaction from doing so. I was in shock, frozen and on the verge of tears sitting two feet in front of her. She picked up on this and also acknowledged it, but it only exacerbated the misconduct. Consequently, I've decided to discontinue care with all providers in the NYU Langone network - I will not step foot in… this clinic again. I have consulted numerous physician colleagues in NYC to assist in finding new providers. To be clear, I am also quitting the providers I have been with for years at NYU, solely based on the way I was treated by this woman. I've submitted a formal complaint detailing this visit to BCBS for their records.

This woman has a lousy attitude and is very unprofessional. How does NYU have someone like this handling patients? After my bad experience with her, I wouldn’t recommend her to my worst enemy. Stay far away.

From my very first visit with Dr. Pollitz, I was incredibly impressed by her patience, attentiveness, and thoroughness. She truly listens with care, making sure every concern is addressed. Not only is she highly knowledgeable and skilled, but she also creates an environment where you feel completely at ease. But what sets Dr. Pollitz apart isn’t just her expertise—it’s her kindness and unwavering support. Her follow-ups were some of the most compassionate I’ve ever experienced from a doctor. She treats you as a person, not just a patient, and certainly not as a “customer.” Even when my insurance changed and I could no longer see her for in-person visits, she continued to respond to my messages promptly and ensured I was taken care of. If you have the opportunity to have Dr. Pollitz as your OB-GYN, don’t miss out on the chance to be in the hands of such a dedicated, knowledgeable, and truly wonderful physician!

Why did she become and dr?.......felt uncomfortable ruff exam.Very nasty and rude. Additude problem. Staff scared of she .

very bad doctor ...treated me with disrespect , made suggestions without examining me at all . terrified me the way she disrespectfully talk to me ..one eg:why you want to have mammogram ? you are 33 . you dont have cancer ? !! " this she said without ever seeing me before or ever examining me ,just covering for my doctor..she made me walk out in tears... thats how terrified i was after seeing her ..I will take any measure to let people know how bad she is
