Dr. Stephanie Teresa Ricci-Fuhrman, MD

I’ve been Dr Ricci’s patient for several years and have only actually seen her a handful of times. Her PA, Hai Nguyen, is horrible. I have to call multiple times for any attention. She has a newer PA who actually listens and cares, but honestly I feel the Dr and office are generally dismissive. They don’t reach out; just take it on themselves to order tests, etc without discussing. I’m moving to another Dr ; someone who actually cares and can discuss concerns with me.

Kind, patient, professional , great bed side manners, explains to the patient, caring. I really like her . Thankful to have her as my OBGY Dr

Beginning of May, I went to see Dr. Hai for an infected area I've been suffering for 8 months. When I saw her, she told me I may need surgery, therefore, asked Dr Ricci to take a look because Dr. Hai is not able to perform surgeries. Dr. Hai is great and I highly recommed her, this review is for Dr. Ricci. Dr. Ricci also recommended surgery and said it was a procedure she was able to do. She seemed confident she can do it at the time. Dr. Ricci said she will set me up for a surgery date as soon as possible with Angela, the scheduler. No one called for several days, so I called to follow up. When I called, Angela told me Dr. Ricci needs to let her know specific procedures for my surgery in order for her to set me up with the surgery date. She unfortunately was not able to obtain the information because Dr. Ricci was busy. Angela told me she would follow up and call me back the following week. Again, no phone call. I called the office to follow up, and same answer, Dr. Ricci did not give… her the information. Angela told me she would be able to get me in by end of the month so not to worry. She said she will ask Dr. Ricci for the information as soon as possible and will call me. Again, no phone call. Several weeks had passed and I received a call from Dr. Ricci telling me there was a delay because she thinks a general surgeon would be best for my issue. And that she was thinking about me for several weeks and concluded it would be best for me to go that route. Why sudden changes after several weeks?? She was confident she can do the surgery at the time. Besides, she was definitely not thinking about my well being that caused several week delay. An experienced doctor had to think for several weeks to decide I needed a general surgeon?? Something is not right, that makes NO sense. Why didn't she say that from the gecko and not waste my time? It doesn't end here. I called the general surgeons office Dr. Ricci referred me to. They do not perform surgery I need. The general surgeon she recommended only does breast cancer patients. Are you serious?? I do not have breast cancer. I called Dr. Riccis office again. At this point I am furious. The receptionist gave me more names and numbers. Same situation, they do not perform surgery I need. I decided at this point to find another gynecologist because I personally don't think I need to go beyond gyno and see a general surgeon for my infection. I should've done it sooner and not waste my time. They gave me hope that it would be resolved, but cut me dry. I was so offended and upset. I DO NOT recommend this doctor. If I can give zero stars, that would be my rating.

I am blown away by the negative reviews here. I have been a patient of Dr. Ricci for 20 years and she is my favorite doctor. I honestly wish I could go to her for non-gyno care! I've always found her to be patient and caring. I've never felt rushed and she takes the time to answer all my questions. Yes, some times I have had a long wait time, and once or twice had to reschedule an appointment because she had an emergency surgery or delivery...but that should be expected with any OBGYN. I feel like she really cares about me and my life...was truly happy for me when I got engaged/married, etc. At this point, she feels like an old friend. I've recently moved out of state and am devastated I won't be able to see her any longer!

She is so sweet and wonderful. I agree she is busy and you need to have a major issue to see her by her NP is so knowledgeable and sweet. I have been with her for 15 years.

I like her just always long waits to be prepared!

After visiting 4 times and waiting 60-90 minutes to be called into the room and then being made to feel like I was an inconvenience, I was done. I found a new OB and office that I LOVE!

During my first and only pregnancy, Dr. Ricci was my doctor. Until I had gotten pregnant, I chose to see her NP because Dr. Ricci is rude. When I got pregnant, and immediately had complications, I only received calls from her NP (not one I had ever seen before). I left her practice immediately, and have counted my blessings ever since. Had I stayed at Dr. Ricci's office and followed her NP's advice, I would not have my daughter. I received completely different, conservative care with another MD (who took the time to call me personally and advise me after finding out my complications despite my initial visit being with her NP also...). I have never been so disappointed with a doctor in my life.

Great Doctor indeed, busy and not always easy to get an appointment but once you meet her, the wait is worth. Incase of emergency the staff will try to get you in faster. had a great experience with her and would recommend her to family and friends.
