Summary
I was born in Oregon but moved to Southern California when I was only 3. I was raised here in San Diego and graduated from Mount Carmel High School. Until high school, I was sure I was going to be a veterinarian. As much as I still love animals, that desire evolved into a goal of attending medical school and giving care to human patients instead. College took me to UC Riverside for their biomedical sciences degree and then on to UCLA for medical school. My husband and I met on our first day of college, and we shared all of the joys and stresses of earning the same degrees and completing medical school together, and marrying during our residency years. We have different specialties but share a love of medicine, reading, our two cats, and planning for our familyÂ’s future.
