This review comes after an incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking experience with Dr. Stephanie Cimos office. Following a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, an emergency referral was sent to her team. While I completely understand that every patient feels their case is urgent, this review is not about demanding special treatment—it’s about the total lack of responsiveness and urgency from an oncology office, where time is often everything. After two full days of calling to confirm the referral and try to schedule an appointment, we were continuously met with vague, dismissive responses: “It can take 48 hours,” “it hasn’t been flagged,” “someone will call you.” No one did. Meanwhile, the patient was rapidly losing weight, severely malnourished, and in excruciating pain. We couldn’t afford to wait for their scheduler to maybe fit us in. On Day 4, we had no choice but to go straight to the ER. Thank God we did—he was admitted immediately for inpatient care. And still, not a single call from… Dr. Cimo’s office. No follow-up. No apology. No effort to coordinate care post-discharge. The lack of urgency and coordination at this oncology office is one of the most appalling things I’ve seen in healthcare. Cancer patients deserve better. I would never recommend this office to any loved one.
