Spent about 3-5 minutes with me and laughed and cut me off while i was trying tell him what my other doctors were doing for me to get the right level so he can do the surgery. He could care less.

Dr. Abernathy is just an awful individual. He is too full of himself and doesn't know everything that he thinks he knows. I go to urgent care and they send in a referral as urgent because I need surgery. He comes in and tries talking down to me. He flat out told me "The only way I can operate on you, is if your kidneys fail, you have a transplant and stop taking the medication I am on. Who says that to a patient? He soon realized that I know a lot more about my kidney problem then he did, and that's not why I was in there.

This doctor has terrible bedside manner. I would not recommend to anyone. He did not seem to show any interest and was more eager to let his colleagues take care of me.

Dr. Abernathy presents with a professional courteous manner. He did not talk down to me. He made me feel like he was truly interested in my surgical case and the surrounding care and treatment. He was attentive and responsive to my questions and was not offended when I asked him about his experience. I had a colonoscopy done by Dr. Abernathy. He made me a PARTNER in my care and fully SUPPORTED MY decisions about that care. Everything went extremely well with no adverse sequelae. I feel very CONFIDENT in his skills and know that I will come out ok with my upcoming surgery. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. ABERNATHY for personal, professional, competent care.
