Dr. Stephen John Antonik, MD

Dr Antonik was able to figure out in 2 visits what had puzzled my previous Dr's for several years. Not only did he diagnose me and refer me to a great surgeon who was able to fix me quickly and efficiently, but he followed up personally on my progress. That little extra personal touch of actually talking on the phone to your Dr and not his nurse all the time makes such a difference. Its hard to find these days. I have referred family and friends to D Antonik and will coming ti he to do so.

Mr. Antonik was disrespectful and very unethical. the AMA's Code of Medical Ethitcs have always maitained that physicians should provide competent medical care with respect, compassion for all patients. In my visit there was no respect his way of questioning and intimidating patients , showing anger because the patient decided to go for a second opinion, or requesting a copy of their persona record. I was devastated, humiliated and emotionally affected by this person who calls himself a profesional.

Dr. Antonik keeps abreast with new developments in medicine. He's determined to find the cause of your illness. He's a great doctor and I'm happy I found him.

I saw Dr. Antonik when I was having issues that no other doctor could figure out. It took multiple doctors over a year to try and help me. Dr. Antonik was the one who finally put all the pieces of the puzzle together and made the call - and he was right! One surgery later and I was back to normal and pain free. He followed me through the entire process and never washed his hands of me, even when various test results said I was fine. He listened to me and never gave up. He has always had time to squeeze me in, even during the Christmas holiday week, and has even called me with test results on a sunday afternoon. I cant say enough about how thorough he is and how he ensures I understand why we did each test, the results, and th enext step. and he understood my frustration when sometimes the next step was to "wait and see." He knows what it is like to be th epatient! I recommend him to all of my friends and even strangers!

I needed to find a new gastroenterologist last summer after the one I was seeing decided I lived too far away from her office after I moved. She was worried based on some test results, and felt that I was too far away for her to be effective.My primary care doctor recommended Dr. Antonik, and he has run the problem to the ground. It wasn't good news, but he's run every test to make sure there isn't anything else, and has been very clear that everything he does is my decision. When I was nervous about a procedure, he saw that and asked what, exactly, was bothering me. I told him, and he went back over the procedure to explain why it should be done, but did not pressure me to choose to have the procedure done. He is very communicative. He also understands that I am hard to reach because of my job and has called me early in the morning, on a Saturday, and after 5:00 pm.
