Dr. Stephen George Basheda

My Mom had her first appointment with Dr. Basheda. Dr. Basheda was nice enough, but his male assistant was one of the rudest people we have ever met. We should have known from the initial interaction. When asked about family history, my Mom stated that my brother and I (both in our 40s) have had asthma all of our lives. He said that did not matter since the visit was about her, not her kids. Then why ask about family history? My Mom has trouble hearing, so I repeated something that he said. He reached his arm out, shushed me, and told me that it was his job to explain, not mine. He also shushed her when she repeated something that he said. She is elderly and repeats directions in order to remember. My Mom is scheduled to go back next month, but does not want to interact with this man again. He was terribly unprofessional. We are looking for another specialist after this interaction.

Cancels frequently, disinterested,no follow up,bad doctor!!!!!

I was asked why my PCP arranged a CAT scan to be performed on my lungs. I was confused because I though he would already know that...and he did. He was just making a point of questioning my PCP's actions. Well, Dr. B., I had a CAT scan because my doctor was being thorough in her care of me. Yes, you said what was seen on the scan was nothing but I was told I needed further examination by you to confirm that. Also, you need to slow it down and ask your patients if they have any questions. I did but I'm going to another doctor to ask those.

Twice earlier this week I called with a question regarding my Rx and twice they said they would get back to me later in the day. No response. I'll find myself another pulmanologist.

I can't even begin to tell how rude certain office staff are and obviously they don't really know what they are doing either with insurances and getting tests scheduled. If you call to get test results don't hold your breath. You'll be lucky they even call you back.

Trying to get Dr. Basheda to get back to you is impossible. You'd have better luck getting the President of the United States on the phone. When calling his office, if you do get through chances are you'll be put on hold for 15 minutes or more. I gave a 1-star review. If I could have, I'd give Dr. Basheda a minus 5. He plays will people's lives and has just too many offices.

I have been seeing Dr Basheda for a number of years now for asthma. I called today very sick unable to breath. I was told by the office staff that he could not treat me because I was not seen in 2015 for my normal exam which I did not realize I had missed. So I ask the girl if he was no longer my dr and she told me that after I got better I could schedule a regular appointment and then he would treat me again. So I ask to speak with him she calls me back several hours later to tell me he will not speak with me or treat me. I thought doctors took an oath obviously this dr is only interested in money and not his patients. I will be finding a new pulmonary doctor!

I UNDERSTAND IT IS A VERY BUSY OFFICE, BUT WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND COULDN'T BE FIT IN UNTIL JANUARY, I QUESTIONED WHAT YOU DO IF YOU REALLY NEED TO BE SEEN AND HER RESPONSE WAS "I DON'T HAVE TIME TO EXPLAIN OUR SCHEDULING PROCEDURE TO YOU". SO UNCALLED FOR. NEED SOME TRAINING ON TALKING TO PATIENTS WHO PAY THEIR SALARY

saw Dr Basheda for sleep apnea. He seemed interested at first, but after the sleep study and order for CPAP there was no follow up. I recommend seeing someone else for sleep apnea.
