Dr. Stephen Craig Beck, MD

It has been a while since I saw him, but he made a negative impression. He was so rude and disrespectful to me and did not want to listen to my actual problems. Instead of being helpful he turned into Sigmund Freud suddenly and made bizarre comments about my relationship with my mother. I only saw him once and I never ever went back. Terrible "doctor".

Dr. Beck prescribed the mood stabilizer Depakote, which contributed to 120 pounds of weight gain. He often acted rude, arrogant, or callous and indifferent to me as a patient. Other personnel said this also about him, but by the time he was disciplined, the damage was already done. DO NOT EVER see this man voluntarily, he is wicked.

this dude is magnificent. By all means he cured my adhamdht. I had serious problems Cincinatti. I wanted to leave this town because lets be honest here this sucks. He conviced me that cincinatti as boring as it may be is a part of me. Well long short this guy is my f.cking favorite. Thank you doctor.

I wished I had read this before wasting my time. An idiot. Oh, and by the way, if you subscribe to his belief, your childhood belief has nothing to do with anything happening in your life today. When I asked him to then explain how and why he treats children that have been abused (after all, what's the purpose), he coughed 10 times and gave me story example that a Philadelphia lawyer couldn't follow. I am not a "sheepie." I think he is one of these that thinks because he says... it is, and that's that. Geeeeez

This man cares only about getting paid.find someone else he does not care about anyone

Dr. Beck isn't the typical psychiatrist who is going to listen to you for a few minutes and then write you a prescription.He's more like and old school doctor from the days of psychoanalysis. It's not something you see very often and if you aren't used to it, he may seem very detatched and uncaring. I don't think he is, but I can see why people may get that impression. Don't expect to get away with anything. He's not the kind of doctor who is going to indulge you or fill out forms for you letting you off the hook for your responsibilities because you feel depressed. I can honestly say that I am being helped, and that I have had a better experience with this doctor than I have had with psychiatrists in the past.And even though I'm the "mental" one, I have never met a psychiatrist that wasn't a little odd. I think it's a job requirement.
